It was Taurtis, Grian's old friend. They hugged, did Grian ask him to come?

"Are you okay?" Taurtis asked worried.

"Yes we actually just found Pearl!" Grian replied happily.

"We?" He asked, he sounded a little upset.

I quickly moved to the couch, hoping to act natural. I don't think it worked.

"Yes Mumbo and I found her!" He said rushing behind him into the living room.

"Uh—Hello." I stated a little confused at his anger.

"Hello, what have you been up to?" He asked, curiously.

"I'm sorry, I'm a little confused—"

"We just found Pearl, and now you're getting ready to leave, right?" Grian said, in a worried manner.

Before I could question why Grian was rushing me out, Taurtis had more questions.

"Why is he wearing your clothes?! He better have been the one to sleep on that mattress." He glared at me periodically in saying that.

"Taurtis calm down. I told you he's just a friend." Grian whispered almost so I couldn't hear him.

"What is going on?" I whispered in my confusion.

"I'm so livid right now...  I told you I would come." Taurtis expressed his dismay.

"Taurtis, he doesn't even know..." Grian said defensively.

"Doesn't know that we're dating!  Yeah that makes it better!"

"Wait?  What!?" I interrupted.

"He doesn't even know that I'm gay!" Grian was now as livid as Taurtis.

I was silent and turned away, I had no clue...

"I told you, he's my friend!  What is wrong with you?!  Why couldn't you just trust me!?" Grian now had the questions.

"Right.  I believe I've overstayed my welcome." I said quickly trying to get out of there.

"No!" Grian stopped me. "You shouldn't have to leave just because my stupid boyfriend."

"Grian I'm so sorry.  I thought he knew!" Taurtis tried to apologize.

"Well, he does now.  But that doesn't mean we're anything more than friends!  What difference does it make if he knew or not, I told you he was a friend and you didn't trust me!"

Taurtis was silent, Grian had a point.  I just stood there awkwardly.

"Taurtis, I think you should go." Grian said, now upset.

"What?  Are we okay?  I didn't mean to—"

"Just go, I'll text you."

"Grian, don't do this.  I didn't mean it!"  Taurtis begged being pushed out the door.

Taurtis was stronger than Grian and used that to his advantage, it pissed me off for some reason.

"Dude, just leave.  He doesn't want you here right now..." I said, backing Grian up.

Taurtis was crying, but he left quickly after I helped Grian.  I felt bad, but what he did was pretty shitty.  Grian leaned his back against the door, he was now crying.

"Grian." I said slowly.

"I'm sorry..." He said pushing me away.

Why was he sorry?  He had nothing to apologize for.  I followed after him a bit.  He came back with my clothes.

"Here you can just take them and go.  You never have to come back here." He said bluntly, handing over my neatly folded clothes.

"Grian, are you upset at me?" I asked confused.

"No, okay a little.  I get it though, you only came to visit because of the hermits, and you're not okay with me being gay.  You can leave now."

"Grian, I did visit because of the hermits, but I stayed for you, on my own terms.  And I don't care if you're gay, bi, pan, whatever.  I like you for you."  I said truthfully.

He stared at me for a second, blushing a bit.  Which made me blush a bit, I had to look away from his stare.

I coughed a bit, "Right, I actually do need to...get going..." I said awkwardly, grabbing my clothes.

"Yes, well.  Thank you.  You helped a lot.  Without you, I may have never found Pearl."  He said softly.  "You can keep the clothes, they look good on you." He smiled a bit.

With that comment, my face grew redder.  My phone started ringing before I could respond.

It was my mum, "Hello?" I said, still a little shaken.

"Hey! I came over as soon as I heard you needed help! You're so lucky, you almost starved Benji! Where are you?!"

"Mum, calm down, I'm sure Benji was fine. Wait, where are you?"

"Where are you?!" She repeated.

"I'm at Grian's, where are you?"

"At your house, like you said you needed me to be. How long do I have to stay here?"

That wasn't something I knew how to answer. I didn't want my mum to have driven there for no reason. I also know she likes taking care of the house, my house was more modern than hers, she always liked modern.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Yes. Um, just the rest of today, and then one more day. I'll get back tomorrow night." I said, I had a weird idea...

"Okay, you're lucky to have me you know?"

"Yeah, I know..."

"Okay well, love you, have fun at Grian's! Tell him I said hi!"

"Will do. Love you, bye." I hung up.

There was a bit of awkward silence, "Do you want me to stay?" I asked Grian.

"What?" He asked confused.

"Can I stay here for one more day?" I asked trying not to smile.

He doesn't need to know that I have a choice... I don't know why, but I want to stay.

"Yeah, of course." He agreed happily.

"Great. I'll sleep on the air mattress this time." I stated.

"Um, I need to go start recording..." Grian said, looking at the clock.

"No breakfast?" I asked.

"Fine, I guess we should eat..." He was now awkward than before, which made me a little upset.

"Grian, it's like you said before. Nothing has changed between us." I told him.

Nothing has changed between us, right?

He nodded and made his way into the kitchen, "I'm making cinnamon sticks."

"You sure do like your sticks..." I said without thinking.

I covered my mouth with my hand, "That's not what I meant!" I said quickly, "I meant like mozzarella and now cinnamon—yeah..."

I looked away, embarrassed, but looked back up whenever Grian busted out laughing. I laughed with him.
