Helping Grian was not on my to-do list, but the man would probably drown in the 3 feet of water judging by the looks of things. The bartender clearly was going to get security soon, which I would be fine with, except one thing. As I was walking around, I saw Talia and Julia again, which made me re-analyze. What would Talia think if she saw another one of her idols having to be dragged off by security? What would Julia and everyone else think? It's mid-day and you're already wasted, that would be embarrassing for anyone. As much as I hate to get involved, it might be the better solution...
I wasted no time to get back to the loungers and I shoved everything into one bag so I could grab and go. I turned and saw security eyeing him and on their walkie-talkies, my feet started to walk without me even thinking. Even the burning sensation from taking my shoes off didn't bother me. I practically ran over the bridge and made my way down into the pool, I walked like a mom in a supermarket. Security must have saw me because they stopped, thank god. Once I was in the pool, my speed drastically lowered due to the water. However, I think my intentions were clear, even if I didn't exactly know what they were myself.
Grian was about to fall off the stool and dive face first into the water, I caught him just in time. He giggled in my arms, like he wasn't just about to drown. I lifted his head back upright, though he rest his head on my stomach as soon as I stopped. I turned to the bartender, who looked mildly upset yet, at the same time, amused.
"I'm sorry about my friend here." I sighed.
He nodded, "You must be who I was hearing about."
"He talked about me?" I asked.
"Trust me when I say, you're the only thing on his mind." He laughed at my question.
For the first time in awhile, my face heated up.
"I wanna play Minecraft! I have so much to do on Hermitcraft!" Grian exclaimed loudly.
"Wow, he is such a child. I'm sorry." I apologized, trying my hardest not to laugh and failing.
I wrapped one arm around his shoulders and brought the other under his knees, I picked him up, bridal style.
"Noooo!" He protested, "I-I wanna swim!!!" He squirmed in my arms, leaning his head down toward the water.
"Shut up, your being so loud!" I whispered angrily, holding onto him tightly, dragging my legs through the water.
He lifted his head back up and looked at me, "Y-Y-You did this, y-you know." He stuttered and slurred on his words.
He glared at me and tightened his nose in saying that. Somehow his eyes still managed to pierce mine, even in his drunken state.
No matter how wrong that statement was, it would be better to just go along with it. That is, until we get back into the room.
"Absolutely, all my fault." I tried to sound unsarcastic, and I frowned, ignoring his gaze.
"Y-You know, y-you're bad at lying." Grian still stared at me, upset.
I sighed as I finally made it out of the water, "You're so lucky to have me."
I picked up our stuff and slipped on my shoes, leaving the loungers empty, and eventually made it to the lift. Not without a few stares, but it was much less than if Grian got dragged off by security, I'm sure. Grian stared at me and I couldn't help but stare back, he looked too pretty laying in my arms. He wouldn't remember any of this, so I looked all I wanted. I couldn't tell if it was just the alcohol, but his eyes seemed to look at me with pure ecstasy, and the silence between us didn't help. The lift was less busy now, so we got to our room fairly easily.
I got to our door and sat Grian down, leaning him against a convenient column beside our door, connected to the wall. I dropped the heavy bag next, stuffed with all our belongings we brought down. I leaned down and searched for the key card stuck in the bag. Grian still looked at me, but this time he had a smirk, a smile that I couldn't exactly place as to what in the world it meant. I know that it made me feel something, something of which I can only describe as sexual tension.
I was rushing without even realizing, just frantically searching for the key. I found it in a tiny nook and got it out, fumbling a bit as I stood up. Before opening the door I looked back at Grian, he still had that cocky smirk. I shook my head, I quickly unlocked the door and put the key in the bag and picked it up all in one move. I scoffed as Grian just watched me, like I was a show for him. The tension was starting to get aggravating, I ran inside and sat the bag down, wherever.
I turned and stared at the doorway and waited for Grian to stumble inside, but that never seemed to happen. I walked back out, tired of waiting. He still stood there, with that stupid smirk.
"C'mon, come inside." I said annoyed.
"I want you to carry me again." He said huskily, laying his arms on my shoulders.
His face was close to mine, and he almost seemed to lean in, his breath brushing against me, alcohol and all. I turned my head away, I shouldn't be doing this. Falling right into his trap, he's just drunk. Regardless of my thoughts, my actions said otherwise. I picked him up, holding him up by his thighs, and his arms wrapped around my shoulders. I quickly brought us inside and closed the door once I had him. He held my jaw, and stared longingly at my eyes and lips. I rolled my eyes at his play, I pushed him against the wall and left the space between our bodies scarce.
He gasped, "Oliver."
I don't know if he'll remember this, but I didn't care. I know I'll regret this later, but I didn't care. I know I shouldn't be doing this, but I didn't care. But I couldn't just totally violate him, my conscience needed some type of consent.
In all his vulnerability, I asked him, "Can I kiss you again?"
