Ally

"Ally, are you okay?" I hear a familiar voice. I wipe my eyes and turn my head to be met with concerned, green eyes. Before I could answer, she shakes her head, "Obviously not. Was it Y/N?" I turn over on my other side so that I was facing her completely. Seeing that she's sitting in front of my bunk.

Her expression changes to anger, "Where is she?" She practically growls. I shake my head at her, "Lauren, no. Please." Her face softens a bit, "Tell me what happened." I sniff, briefly not meeting her eyes.

"I...," I struggle with my words. Trying to pick them out carefully. "Let's wait until the girls get back. I wanna tell you all at the same time," I decide. She nods and just then, the door for the back room opens and out comes Y/N. All I could see were her sweats and her slides.

She walked by silently and a few seconds later, I hear the bus door open and close. She glares at the direction Y/N went before looking back at me. "When do...the girls get back?" I ask, clearing my throat.

She checks her phone, "Maybe like another 20?" I nod, scooting over, "Cuddle with me?" She smiles before slipping in beside me and I immediately snuggle up to her.

After a few moments of silence, I speak, "Lauren?"

"Mhm?"

"Do you think Y/N's good for me?" She looks down at me, raising an eyebrow. "Want me to be honest?" I chew on my lip, internally debating before nodding.

She sighs, "She's not the best for you, though I do see her trying. Granted, she's still a damn asshole and I'll kill her later for making you cry. But after carefully watching how she acted, I realize she was hurt before. Pretty badly, probably. It's a defense mechanism and that's how she kept her heart safe," she pauses.

"I do know one thing," she says.

"What?"

She looks me in the eyes, "When she says she loves you, believe her."

I stare at her with my mouth slightly agape. Lauren, of all people, saying these things about Y/N has me second guessing telling the girls about what's been happening with us.

———

Hearing what Lauren had to say about Y/N just 30 minutes ago was stuck on repeat in my head. It made sense. Y/N didn't really talk about her past relationships, only that they happened.

She's been protecting herself.

And maybe the reason she confused her feelings with Leigh-Anne was because they were familiar to her. The feelings she has for me are brand new.

And they're secretly scaring her.

Speaking of her, I wonder where she is? The girls had came back with some groceries and started stocking the cabinets and fridge. Lauren shoots me an expectant look and I just shook my head, resulting in a puzzled expression from the younger woman.

We all decided to hang out in the back lounge. Camila was talking about something that had happened in the market when all I could think about was the Samoan.

I'm kinda upset with myself that I didn't make sense of this sooner. I need to talk to her and actually listen to her perspective.

As if she were somehow listening, my phone rings.

My Everything😘❤️

I answer, putting the phone up to my ear. "Hello?" I say, stepping out of the room to hear her better. "Hey, Ally. Can you come outside? I got something to show you," her voice was somewhat shy, which surprised me.
