The interview went well and happily, they didn't bring up what happened with Y/N, AJ, and Nick. Though, they did bring their names up as a way to sneakily get details.

They asked about our "mysterious friend", Nothing Without You, and if we'd collaborate with PRETTYMUCH and we remained as vague as politely possible.

This ain't our first rodeo.

After the interview, we all came back home and got comfortable for the day. That one interview lasted a little too long for my liking.

Dinah decided to take a nap while Normani and I made dinner being that it was nearing 6 and no one's eaten.

"Y'know, you never gave your opinion on Y/N," I say as I make hand-mashed potatoes. "Yeah, I did. Months ago," she chuckles and I join in. "Do you feel that way now?" I glance back at her and she shakes her head.

"No, she's gotten a lot better. I thought after the whole thing with Leigh-Anne, me and Lauren would have to fight her." My eyes widened, "How did you-?" She looks at me with a faint smile.

"It was pretty obvious. Well, to me anyway," she says. "I saw how close they were back at Jade's and the death glare you gave them. I also noticed how distant you two were. I just connected the dots," she says, returning to her task of making macaroni and cheese.

I was stunned silent, nibbling on my bottom lip, "Do the girls know?" Normani shrugs, "Lauren knows for sure, though."

"How? Did you tell her?" She shakes her head, "No, but you know she's hella observant."

I cringe to myself; she was the last person I wanted to know. Lauren's crazy protective over me and I can only imagine the threats she sent to Y/N when she found out.

"What do you think of AJ for Mila?" She switches the subject. "She's a sweetheart and she's really good to her," I say, nodding. "I feel like she's hiding something," she comments. "I mean, yeah, I love her for Mila. She needs someone like her, but after what happened with Will, I low key question her motives."

I sigh, "Mani, AJ isn't like that. If she weren't to be trusted, Y/N would've said something."

"Maybe she didn't want to say anything because Camila's in love with her," she says while putting the pan of noodles and cheese in the oven.

"She'd at least tell us to keep an eye on her. I just think she's got a hard past." Normani stays quiet for a bit before making a humming noise, "Possibly. I dunno, she just seems... off to me."

"Why don't you talk to her?"

"When she comes back over, I will," she decides, washing her hands.

Just then, the doorbell rings and Normani's eyes widen. "If that's her, I'ma lose my shit," she says in a freaked out tone. "Want me to get it?" I say with a giggle. She nods and I stop what I was doing and quickly washed my hands before going to answer the door.

When I opened it, I was shocked to see it was indeed the girl from previous conversation, soaking wet from the rain. When did it start raining?

Her facial expression looked to be a mix of sorrow, pain, and anger. It was kinda scary, but not so much given her baby face.

I hurry her in, closing the door behind us.

"AJ, what're you doing here? How did you get here?" I then noticed she's wearing the hoodie Camila made for her. She runs a hand through her soaked, dark curls, then looks up the staircase.

"Is Camila here? She hasn't been answering my calls," she says, looking back down at me. "She's probably showering or napping," I say, furrowing my eyebrows in worry.
