-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Katherine was walking down an old ally. The small lady finger moon sat high in the sky, slightly illuminating the old cobble stone streets. Bitter winds forced Katherine to pull her velvet cloak more tightly over her body.

The year was 1865. A horrid winter that year. Ice was strewn across all the road ways, snow coating every object around. Her black velvet hood becoming damp as the snow came down from the black sky.

Katherine hurriedly walked through the old street quickly, determined to get to her destination before freezing. Katherine hated the winter. Wet snow,  colds, and icicles. Nothing about those things were appealing to her.

Even as a young child she hated snow. Most children loved the fluffy white things that fell every winter, but not Katherine.. Every year she would have to walk to her little one room school house no matter how rainy, hot, or snowy.

She could just remember how much pain that frozen fluff had caused her. Her blue button up dress did no help to her feet and legs. She could remember going to school with her skin red and numb.

Katherine then heard a voice calling her from behind.

The voice was so faint but Katherine turned around, "Hello?" seeing no one she turned back around and continued to walk on the cold, uneven stones.

Then she heard her name again, "Katherine." It was a rough yet very quite and just barely audible.

She spun around one more time, "Who is there?" her voice more serious. "Show yourself!" Katherine said louder hoping the person would here.

No one stepped from the shadows.. Katherine whipped back around and began running. She picked up her large and heavy beige Victorian dress. She ran even faster when a large bang sounded from behind.

Katherine gasped for more air, as the lace corset under the dress made her heave in breaths of oxygen. The girl then slipped on ice and fell the the cold, wet ground. She screamed when a large men dressed in black came running to her.

She slowly tried to back up using her legs and arms, but it did not work. The man lunged himself forward grabbing Katherine by the neck.

She gasped, "Stop! Please stop!" her body then doubled over in coughing fits as then man let go of her tiny neck, "What do you want from me?"

The man smirked, "Your life."

Katherine's eyes widened at his answer, "Please sir, I did nothing wrong."

"I know that."

"Then leave me be!"

"Now madame, you know fool well that would be no fun." a smirk played on his lips again as he reached into his black overcoat. He pulled out a black object and pointed it at Katherine. She screamed and turned on her heels running.

BANG. The gun goes off and Katherine goes down...

Katherine suddenly shot up from an unknown bed, covered in sweat and breathing heavily.  She looked around to come face to face with a bug-eyed Jeremy Jackson. Katherine, still shaken, stared at Detective Jackson trying to get a sense of where she was. She then scanned the room trying to figure out. The room was a pale color, very bland. Her eyes slip down to the rest of her body. That's when she realised where she was.
