Chapter One: When Zeus Calls

"Wow-wow-wow!"Mitsuko exclaimed. She was watching the most recent performance her favorite idol, Hiro, had done. She grinned. "But I though she was gonna do a different song. Oh well! It's still good!" She beamed at the phone. She sighed once it was over and clicked her screen off, moving to her sketchpad on the coffee table. She picked it up and picked up her pencil. Mitsuko moved her hand across the page as she sat the sketchpad in her lap. She leaned back and started to draw, focusing on the image she'd been working on previously. As she worked, she glanced at the clock. "Oh? It's already 2? Time for work!" She quickly closed her sketchpad and laid it on the couch.

Mitsuko stretched and went to change, putting on her work clothes. She worked at a library down the street, close to her place. But that wasn't it, Mitsuko had several jobs. She was an artist. A manga artist. She usually worked from home, but being a manga artist didn't bring in enough money all the time, so she worked at the library too. As she headed out of her apartment door, she noticed her neighbor struggling with groceries as she came up the stairs. Mitsuko hurried, grabbing the top bag and surprising the older woman. She blinked.

"Ah-Thank you Mitsuko-chan!"the woman told her. Mitsuko smiled.

"Happy to help, Honda-san!"Mitsuko told her. She helped the woman carry her things in and then left in a hurry, rushing to make it to work. As she cut through the park nearby, she noticed that not a lot of people were out and about. She looked around and slowly her smile dropped off her face. She hummed to herself. "That's strange." She shrugged and headed off, walking through the park. As she walked, she noticed that some of the cherry blossom trees had started to bloom. How pretty, she thought. Mitsuko's eyes also noticed a poster up on a building a bit away. She felt the wind pick up and moved, shielding her face as dirt flew up from the small playground. "It's pretty windy today." She sighed when it went down and kept walking.

"Mitsuko Hishima."

Mitsuko whirled around, her eyes wide. She'd heard it. Someone had said her name. She blinked and then wrinkled her eyebrows. Ah-must be my imagination, she thought. She swallowed and shrugged to herself, hurrying back towards the library.

When it was getting close to time for her to leave, Mitsuko was shelving books towards the mythology section of the library. She struggled to reach a shelf farther from the ladder she was on. When she successfully managed to reach it, she beamed in happiness. She shoved the book in the slot and moved back over to her cart of books. She grabbed one and frowned. I don't think I've seen this book before. She picked it up and flipped it open. She stared at the words. Is this in....Greek?

Despite her not recognizing the book or knowing how to read Greek, she recognized one word. The word "Zeus" stood out to her plain as day. She stared at it for a moment before flipping a page. All of a sudden, a swirling light shined up at her from the book.

"Ah-" Mitsuko went to step back, forgetting she was on a ladder. The book sucked her towards it and she fell in, surrounded by white light.

When Mitsuko could see, she felt herself fall to the floor. She blinked, looking around in confusion. She felt hands on her shoulders, helping her stand up. When she looked over, there was a blonde haired girl with bright blue eyes. Mitsuko stared at her in confusion before looking forward. The room was large from what she could tell. They were standing in front of a throne, which was towards the back of the room. There were large glass windows behind said throne, and steps leading up towards it. Mitsuko blinked as she looked forward. Sitting on the throne was a man, with golden hair and eyes. He had a beard, which was also golden. His eyes focused on the three girls. A large red carpet spread towards him, as if directing them where to walk. The man spoke then, looking at the girls down below him. His eyes swept over all of them.
