Chapter Nine: Save Me

The next morning, Mitsuko was looking out the window. It was raining heavily, coming down. She sighed. It's too rainy to train today, she thought. She stared out the window. She was surprised as she spotted someone running past her window. She planted against it, pushing her hands and face to the glass.

"Takeru?!" She quickly turned and changed. If he's training...so can I! She hurried out of her dorm room and ran off to find him. She breathed hard, feeling the water start to weigh down on her clothes and hair. She ran, looking for him. She was in the forest now, running down the path. She noticed Takeru running on her left side. He ran forward. She stopped. "Takeru!" He turned, looking at her as she waved at him. He blinked in surprise.

"The Brat actually came out in this weather?"he exclaimed. He jolted when he noticed that she was standing on a cliff. He paused. If the water soaks into it...there will be a landslide! He thought. He held his hand out. "Hey! Get back from there! Back up!" Mitsuko blinked, looking down as she felt the ground move beneath her. The ground suddenly broke out. She screamed as she fell, throwing her hands up to catch something. Anything. Mitsuko hit her head on a falling branch, feeling dizzy as she fell down towards the bottom of the ravine. "MITSUKO!" He immediately leapt off the cliff, falling towards her. In a flash image, he saw her instead of Mitsuko. He flinched back and then realized she might die if he didn't save her. "DAMN IT!" In a flash of blue light, he broke his shackle, catching her in his arms.

The ground shook with the might of his power. The light died down and Takeru lowered to the ground. He held Mitsuko securely in his arms. He looked down at her.

"Mitsuko,"he spoke to her, his grip tightening on her. He spotted the blood on her face. Mitsuko blinked her eyes open, looking up at him.

"Ta...Takeru?"She murmured. He breathed in relief.

"You'll be fine now...I'll protect you,"He told her quietly. He smiled down at her. "They came back...my divine powers!"

"Divine powers..."Mitsuko repeated. She felt warmth take her over. Mitsuko swallowed, looking up at him. He moved, setting her on her feet gently. She kept her arms on his, holding on while she regained her balance. "You saved me...when I fell. Thank you." He moved her hair aside, spotting the cut at her hairline. He sighed.

"You're hurt..." Mitsuko blinked. She touched her head.

"Ah-No, I'm fine,"She told him. She smiled at him brightly. For some reason, the look hurt his heart. He felt it deep in his chest. He gave her a solemn look, his fingers reaching out and tracing over the cut. She winced a little.

"Susanoo Takeru Totsuka!"A voice called out. Takeru looked up.

"Zeus?!"He called out. A flash of light surrounded the two of them. Takeru pulled Mitsuko towards him, shielding her. When the light disappeared they were standing in the entrance hall. Zeus waved his staff and Takeru floated up, glowing.

"You have destroyed the shackle that I placed on you, and utilized your divine powers,"Zeus spoke. Zeus waved his hand and the shackle reappeared on Takeru's ankle. He reverted back to normal. Zeus dropped him in a cage made of light bars. Mitsuko gaped. "You have committed a grievous sin."

"Oi! What the hell is this?!"Takeru demanded. He slammed his fists against the bars.

"Unable to control your emotions, you have destroyed a portion of my tabletop garden,"Zeus spoke. He stared at Takeru in the cage. "Until you acknowledge what you have done and repent, you shall be suspended!" Mitsuko leaned forward.

"What?! You're suspending him? That's not fair!"Mitsuko exclaimed. She heard footsteps run into the room towards her.

"Mitsu-Mitsu...what happened?!"Apollon called out. Mitsuko turned, hearing her friends run in. They all gaped at the sight of blood leaking from a cut on the left side of her hairline. She gave them all a desperate look.
