Chapter Fourteen: Midterms?!

Takeru made his bold move, pushing her to back her up into her room. He caught the door with his foot, shutting it. Takeru pulled away, coming up for air. Mitsuko swallowed and moved quickly, shutting the other balcony door. Takeru was surprised when she turned back around and practically pounced on him. She smashed her lips to his. His arms wrapped around her and he pulled her closer to him, closing his eyes. He pushed her back on her bed, climbing on top of her in one swift move. Heat rushed over her, taking over all of her movements. Her hands moved and fiddled with the buttons of his shirt. Takeru paused, pulling up from her. He looked down at her below him. She was staring up at him with a reddened face, and eyes full of love for him. His eyes went wide. He felt his own face burning. 

"We should stop,"Takeru whispered. Mitsuko blinked up at him in surprise. His hand moved from the bed and brushed her cheek. She closed her eyes as he slowly stroked her face. His touch sent tingles through her body and fire over her skin. No...it wasn't fire...this was more like a calming sensation. Like cool waters rushing over her and making her body relax. She let out a slow breath. "I don't want to take it too fast...or do something you might not be ready for." She opened her eyes, giving him a warm gray look. Takeru's eyes softened as he gazed down at her. She smiled up at him. Her own hand rose up and grazed his cheek. He let out a small breath. To her his touch was a cool sea of warmth. To him...her touch was like the feeling you get at night when you relax and settle down to sleep. Like warm, beautiful, calming shadows wrapping around you to carry you into a sea of dreams. His eyes traced over her face, drinking her in. 

"You're right,"Mitsuko murmured gently. Mitsuko slid her hand around to tangle in his hair gently. She grinned at him. "But you can still kiss me." She pulled him down. He let out a small chuckle before their lips connected. His hand slid to her side, holding her gently. They lavished in the feeling of their lips brushing over each other. Mitsuko closed her eyes. She smiled against his mouth. He pulled away and looked down at her. 

"You're so spoiled, Brat,"Takeru muttered. Mitsuko pouted up at him, opening her eyes. He lowered himself and placed a kiss on her nose. She blinked. He chuckled and lifted back up. "I've gotta go...Tsukito-bro will be worried." Mitsuko sighed and sat up with him. He stood from the bed and crouched down once more, placing a kiss on her forehead before leaving the way he came in.

In the morning when she remembered everything, Mitsuko's cheeks burned. I had no idea Takeru could be so romantic. She touched her hair that hung loosely down around her. He's going to be surprised when he sees it unbraided. Oh well, she thought. She smiled to herself. She turned and headed to class. As soon as class started, everyone was in their desks. Thoth was standing up front. He looked out at everyone. 

"We have gone through half of the time that Zeus has provided for us as an academy,"He announced. Everyone blinked in surprise. "As such...we'll hold an important event." The gods perked up a little excited. Mitsuko stiffened. Why do I get a bad feeling? she thought. 

"I'm up for that!"Loki exclaimed. Mitsuko squirmed in her desk. Come on, Thoth, I'm tired of waiting. 

"What event?"Tsukito asked. Suddenly, Thoth stopped. He looked up, his glasses shining in the light. His eyes were directly on Apollon.

"Hey, idiot! Who do you think you are?"Thoth demanded. Everyone turned back, spotting that Apollon was asleep on his desk. Ren snorted. That idiot, she thought. Thoth walked across the room, and stopped at Apollon's desk. He slammed his hand on it, making everyone in the room jump. He leaned forward towards Apollon, who gave him a nervous look, leaning away from him. "I can't believe you were napping during MY class. How are you even Student Council President?" Apollon looked down.
