Chapter 12

"Okay, I'll let you stay here on one condition. You get a job and help me pay half the bills for here." He told Toei who nodded quickly.

"Deal!" She said hugging him tightly. "Will you ever be here?" She asked.

Beam nodded. "When I work late night shifts at the hospital I will be. That doesn't happen often though and I'll be sure to let you know a head of time before I do." He told her. She smiled and nodded happily.

Forth wasn't as akin to the idea of letting her stay in the second apartment. He didn't want Beam to be there alone with her. Especially in the state he would be in. It would be easy for her to take advantage of him.

He kept his mouth shut though. Beam was the love of his life and he needed to trust him in matters like these.

He trusted Beam would put her in her place of she ever tried anything like that.

"Forth, do you need me to take you to work?" Beam asked as he was adjusting his tie in the mirror.

"No. Jane is done stairs now." He said kissing Beam's cheek quickly and saying his goodbyes.

Beam rolled his eyes at the thought of Forth and Jane being together. He thought they were to close. Spent to much time together.

He wasn't going to say anything, though, because they had just agreed not to fight anymore. They agreed to trust one another. He needed to do that.

At work, Beam was running around the hospital, doing all kinds of different things, when he was called into his bosses office.

"Yes, boss?" He asked as he entered the room and shut the door behind him.

"Cake needs to take an early leave for her husband's funeral. She insisted on working all this time, so I had to give her this. Would you mind working a late shift?" He asked.

In his mind, Beam faceplanned. He didn't want to, but he felt it would be rude if he didn't.

"Of course, sir." He said. His smiled and nodded before sending him back to his job.

On his break, Beam called Toei to tell him that he would be staying at the apartment with her tonight, and then called Forth.

"Why?" He asked in a whinny tone. "I miss you."

Beam laughed and shook his head. "Forth, it's just for tonight. Tomorrow I'll be home. I'll be in bed with you. I promise."

Forth sighed deeply. "Fine. Just don't let Toei do anything to you, and I'll be by later to bring you some food." Beam laughed and shook his head.

"Of course. I'll see you then. I love you."

"I love you too."

Beam smiled to himself as he went back to work.

After his shift, he felt like a walking zombie. He felt like he would pass out at anytime, but knew that he wanted to wait so he could see Forth.

"You don't look so good." Toei said as Beam walked into the apartment. She tried to help him to the bedroom, but he shook his head.

"I'm fine. I'm just tired." He said sitting down at the table in the kitchen.

"Okay, well let me go get changed into my bed clothes and I'll make you something to eat." She said before running off to the bedroom.

While she was gone, Forth showed up. When he walked in, he gave a small pout as he looked at his tired baby.

"You look so tired, baby." Forth said kneeling in front of him and kissing his cheeks softly.

Beam laughed and nodded. "I wanted to wait so I could see you." He said smiling wide. Forth smiled back and shook his head.

"I brought yo-"

"Are you ready for dinner?" Toei asked as she walked into the kitchen. She stoped in her tracks when she seen Forth.

Forth stoped as well. His face turned hard and angry as he stood up.

Toei was standing there in an almost completely mesh "nightgown". Forth was not happy.

"Actually, I came to take Beam back to our apartment." Forth said helping Beam up.

At this point, Beam didn't care what happened. He was just happy to see his Forth.

Forth grabbed Beam's things and headed out the door with him, not even saying goodbye to Toei.

"Forth." Beam said softly, once they were in the car and driving. Forth didn't take his eyes off the road and ignored Beam calling his name. "Forth." Beam tried again. Forth still ignored him. "Baby."

Forth immediately became soft at hearing that word. There was no way he could resist his baby when he called him that.

He glanced at Beam a few times making him smile.

"I love you so goddamn much. Only you." He said quietly before closing his eyes and smiling wide.
