Cuz I don't want to wait for bridgetsharp12 to update before I do. And I wanted to update this one.

Niall’s POV

I think me and Shawn were really getting along in the guitar shop. I wanted to ask him if he’d like to hang out another time, but my mouth had a different idea. Before I could shut it, I had already asked him a question.

“Would you like to get a coffee or something?” I asked.

“Sure,” Shawn said. “I’d love to.”

“Do you want to go to this new cafe down the street?” I asked. “They’ve only been open for a few days but I heard they have great coffee.”

“I don’t see why not,” Shawn said.

We walked down the street to the cafe and luckily, there weren’t many people. Shawn and I then stood back, trying to decide what we wanted.

“I don’t know about you, but a tall peppermint cocoa with extra whipped cream sounds good,” Shawn said, not taking his eyes off the menu.

“Sounds great, but if we add two chocolate muffins, that would be so much better,” I said, looking over at Shawn.

“That does sound better,” Shawn said, looking down from the menu and at me. “Let’s get it.”

With me leading the way, we took the few steps needed to get to the counter to order.

“Hello, how may I help you?” the girl behind the counter asked, eyeballing Shawn.

“We’ll have two tall peppermint cocoas and two chocolate muffins,” Shawn said.

“Anything for you dear,” the girl behind the counter said. “Your total comes to $11.50 but I’ll take off a couple dollars for your number.”

“Sorry,” Shawn said, “but I’m gay.”

The girl looked at him in disgust. “And I assume the ugly blonde next to you is your boyfriend?” the girl behind the counter said, pointing at me.

“Do NOT call him ugly!” Shawn said, slamming his hand along with twelve dollars on the counter. “The order is under Niall and you can keep the change.”

With that and one final glare, Shawn grabbed my hand and found us a table.

"I'm sorry about what happened up there," Shawn said, sitting down with a sigh.

"I'm sorry for causing you so much trouble," I said, sitting down and immediately looking at my hands as they laid on the table.

"Hey," Shawn said, putting one of his hands on mine. "It's not your fault she was mean. Being that way is her choice, not ours. So there's nothing to apologize about."

I looked up and into his beautiful, chocolate brown eyes. "Really?"

Shawn nodded.

"So, there's something I wanted to ask you," I said.

"Go on then, ask me," Shawn said.

"Are you really gay?" I asked, hoping he was.

You see, I'm gay and on the first day I saw Shawn, my heart told me that he was the one. Sure I had never seen him before that day, but he came into my world and made my heart flutter. And, to be completely honest, I had always been questioning my sexuality until I laid eyes on Shawn. Because on that day, I knew I was gay, and he's the one I can thank.

"Am I really gay?" Shawn asked as if he were pondering the question. "Well, you heard what I told the girl at the counter."

"I did. But I was wondering if you were just saying that so she'd leave you alone," I said.

"Oh, then yes. I am really gay," Shawn said, starting to blush.

"That's good," I said, starting to blush as well.

"Why?" Shawn asked.

"Because I'm gay too," I said, my heart fluttering as I spoke.
