Shawn's POV

Once Niall and I had finished eating and paid for our food. We headed back to the guitar shop.

"Hey, why don't you grab a guitar and start," Niall said.

"Without you?" I asked.

"I have to grab something from my car real quick," Niall said.

"Okay," I said, finding a guitar as Niall walked out of the shop.

"Sir, you can't touch those," the owner of the shop said, walking out of a room.

"Why not?" I asked.

"Because those are WAY out of your price range," the man said.

I rolled my eyes. "I can pay for one of these."

"Rich kid?" the owner asked.

"No," I said.

"Can you actually play?" the owner asked, crossing his arms.

I rolled my eyes again before grabbing a guitar and beginning to play it.

"That's a good song, but can you play another?" the owner asked.

"Yea," I said, beginning to play "Little Things".

Niall walked into the guitar shop as I began to play and immediately walked up to the owner of the shop.

"James, how are you mate?" Niall asked.

"Good, how are you?" the owner of the shop, James, said.

"Better if you would stop picking on Shawn," Niall said.

"This is Shawn?" James asked. "Like, Shawn Mendes?"

"Yeah," Niall said.

"Shit! I am so sorry for giving you such a hard time. I didn't mean to," James said, starting to speak fast.

"It's okay," I said. "Really."

"Well, I'm going to the back if anyone needs me," James said. "Sorry again, Shawn."

I only nodded at James as he walked away.

"So, what do you think sounds good?" Niall asked.

"I don't know, maybe something like this," I said, beginning to play a few chords on the guitar I was holding.

"Sounds nice, but what if we added something like this to it," Niall said, playing a few chords on a guitar he picked up.

I began bopping to the beat as he and I played our guitars.

"Then what how would the drums sound?" I asked.

"I was thinking about doing this song on just guitar, if that's okay with you," Niall said.

"Sounds good to me," I said.

"What about lyrics though?" Niall asked.

"We agreed on love, right?" I asked.

Niall nodded. "I was actually thinking about the first line."

"What do you have in mind?" I asked.

"I was thinking that the first verse could say something about paper dreams," Niall said.

"What if it said "I have seen, seen it all in paper dreams"?" I asked.

"I like it," Niall said.

"I like you too," I said.

"You like me or are you just agreeing with me?" Niall said.

My face began to heat up. "I uh, I like you," I said.
