Chapter 29// You Have my Blessing

Aaron Pov

Roni and I walk into my room with my hand still holding her arm. Everyone's busy, so no one really noticed.

Roni: Aaron, I feel rude not being downstairs with everyone.

Aaron: Stop trying to get out of this.....

Roni: I'm not trying to get out of anything. I told you, Sydney didn't tell me why you guys broke up, okay?

Aaron: So, you do know what this is about. 

Roni: Okay, so can I leave now, Pleasee??

Aaron: Roni, I can tell when you're lying from a mile away.

Roni:.....

Aaron: You're lying to me, meaning that you do know the reason why......also meaning that you know that it.....was....about......you.

Roni looks up at my eyes and sits down on my bed, defeated.

Roni: Look. I won't talk about it if you don't.

Aaron: Roni, that's not our friendship, you know that. We don't hide things, we talk it out.

Roni: This is an exception.

Aaron: I thought you would never lie to me, roni. As my best friend, you failed at that.

Roni: Talk about lying......You never told me that Sydney was skeptical about you and I. If you told me this, I would've backed off and this wouldn't be happening.

Aaron: What? You think I would've wanted that? To lose you?

Roni: She is your girlfriend, Aaron. Girlfriend trumps best friend.

Aaron: Was*, and that's not fair. This is not the point. I'm not upset about how things turned out. Sydney and I are in a good place, so I don't know what we're fighting about.

Roni: Exactly, so I don't know why I'm still up here. She said getting up

Aaron: No, Roni! I'm not done.

Roni: What else, Aaron??

Aaron: I don't know. You don't think it's weird that people think that we have feelings for each other??

Roni: weird....you think it would be weird  if you and I had feelings for each other....?

Aaron: I mean....do you feel that way??

I ask, curious that if she felt something between us, then I'll admit how I've been feeling recently.

Roni: N-no...of course not...

I can sense that Roni is really nervous. She's biting her nails and rubbing her feet together.

Aaron: Roni...its okay if you do....I mean...it's something so can't control.

Roni: W-what?

Aaron: I just mean.....like....I wouldn't mind it.....if that makes the littlest bit of sense.

Roni Pov

What is he trying to say? Does he want me to have feelings for him???

Roni: What do you want me to say, Aaron?

Aaron: It's crazy right? You and me? I mean like it's just.....crazyy
