Roni Pov

Mariah: Just watch.

Sydney: So, Mariah. How old are you again?

Mariah: 11.

Sydney: Wow, I remember when I was that age. Actually, now that I think about it, that was the age I got my first boyfriend.

Roni: 11?

Sydney: It wasn't serious or anything. Just for...fun...ya know?

Mariah: 11 years old? Dating? No thank you.

Sydney: So, you don't have any love interests?

Mariah: Nope. I've got enough boys in my life. She said referring to her brothers

Sydney: Hah. I guess you do. I guess the time will come ;)

Mariah: Trust me, not anytime soon. Probably not even when I'm your guys' age.

Roni: That's more like it. I wonder how Aaron would react to his little sister dating.

Sydney: Aaron? Why would he care?

Roni: Are you kidding? He's going to be protective of Mariah.

Mariah: True. He's going to scare all the boys in my life away.

Sydney: Hmph. How'd you know that, roni?

Roni: I don't know. I could just tell because of how Aaron takes care of you guys.

Sydney gave a weird face when I said that. It didn't really seem like a big deal.

Mariah: Well, you're best friends with him, so why is that shocking?

Franny: Best friends? You and Aaron?

Roni: Well, I wouldn't say best friends, but....I don't really know.

Sydney: I think it's cool. I mean Aaron's a cool guy to be friends with. Or even best friends.

Roni: You do?

Sydney: Yeah!

I'm glad that Sydney feels this way. We then notice that Aaron's game is about to start. The teams walk onto the court, and they are in ready positions for the jump ball. Aaron looks up at us and waves. We all wave and cheer back at him. The referee throws the ball up and our team wins the ball.

Franny: Whooo!

David: This is going to be awesome!

Andrew: Aaron!!!!

The ball is passed to Aaron to bring the ball up. He crosses center line and calls out a play.

Aaron: 22...VIKINGS  22!

Suddenly,  one of Aaron's teammates sets a pick for Aaron, and Aaron charges and fakes a shot. Which gives him the perfect amount of space to pass the ball to Lincoln, who is at the three point line, and Lincoln gets a swish, finishing the perfect play.

Mariah: Whooo! What a way to start the game!!

Alex: Nice call!!

Sydney: That's 3 points right?

Kian: That was quick!

The Serpents bring up the ball once again. The point guard brought the ball up. He passed it, but the ball was intercepted by one of Aaron's teammates. Aaron quickly runs across the court and looks for the pass. Aaron has the ball in his hands. He looks behind him, and there is no one coming for him, so he stops at the three point line and takes a shot. His form is perfect. The ball makes another swish. He makes it look too easy. The amazing thing is that he was confident enough to take a 3 on a break away. Usually people go for a lay-up to secure that point, but not Aaron. Aaron knew that he could get it in.
