Two days from TripRoni pov
It's two days until the trip of our lives...okay maybe not our lives, but our senior year. David killed his presentation thanks to our encouragement and everything is just falling to place. Everything's glowing...the sky, the trees, our rusty bleachers where we're eating right at this moment, the faces of all the juniors and seniors, and especially...Aaron's capturing smile.
My thoughts are interrupted when two girls stood by us by the bleachers. It was Cindy and Claire. I don't like judging people who I don't know, but all I'm going to say is that they do have a reputation for sleeping around with guys at the school who'll take them.
Claire: Hey, guys!
Cindy: Hey...Aaron. She flirts
Aaron: Uhh...hi..
Cindy: I'm excited for the trip...are you?
Aaron: Yeah, I am. We all are. He corrects himself as he wraps his arm around my waist
Cindy shoots her eyes at me, and I smile. Cindy's...let's just say...presence is more prevalent than Claire. Claire is more like a minion...or sidekick?
Cindy: *coughs* so...I'll see you there...and maybe we could hang out. She asks smirking
Aaron: depends if Roni can be there too.
All of our friends turn their heads to Aaron and I, and they start chuckling. Waiting for a response from Cindy, I look to her nervously. Aaron looks down at me and gives me a reassuring smile.
Cindy: well then...I think 3's a drag
Aaron: Then I guess it'll just be Roni and I.
With no words left to say, Cindy grunts and walks off with a forced smile as if she didn't just get embarrassed.
The bell rings and we all get up and leave the bleachers. I quickly go to my locker with Aaron by my side. As I was grabbing and putting away books, Aaron looks at me with googly eyes
Roni: Yess?
Aaron: Sorry about that...with Cindy.
Roni: Why you apologizing? I ask placing my arm on his shoulder
Aaron: I know you don't care about girls flirting with me, so you prefer if I don't bite back, but I can't just sit there and take it as if it's okay with me. 'Cause it's not...I don't want to let those things slide, especially with you around.
Roni: Aaron...
I don't like to show pda is public, especially in school, but people were heading to class and I thought that this was an exception. I place my arms around Aaron's neck and continued talking
Roni: People flirting with you or me is inevitable...I think it was funny how you responded with Cindy...especially because we all know how she's like and she's a huge flirt, but for any future cases...I really don't mind if you don't tell them off. Kill 'em with kindness.
Aaron: Kindness? I definitely thought I was being as kind as I could with Cindy.
Roni: You were. And that's what I love about you.
Aaron: Love? Aaron leans in smirking and placing his lips on mine
Roni: Don't get ahead of yourself, Burriss. I shot back
