Farkles POV
Lucas and I sprint all the way to the hospital, which was a good 20 minute run. We stop at the doors, gasping for air. People give us concerned looks and ask if we need "medical assistance" and I just tell them that we sprinted here and were just catching our breath. They nod and go on their merry ways. After 5 minutes of catching our breath, Lucas and I walk into the hospital in search of Maya and her room.
"Excuse me?" I say to the lady at the front desk.
"Hello! How may I help you?" She asks friendly.
"We were just wondering if we would be able to see Maya Hart. We are two of her best friends and we heard that she was in an accident." Lucas says.
"I'm sorry. Maya is in critical condition and is not allowed visitors at the time. The only people possible allowed to visit her at her immediate family members." The nurse pulls a file out of the cabinet. "Ooo... It looks like Ms. Hart doesn't have anyone to visit her. Her moms in custody, no dad or siblings. Sorry fellas." She tells us, putting the file back.
We slowly sulk back over to the waiting area. I start daydreaming about Maya and all of her features and her personality and all of her. While I'm thinking about her, the John Legend song comes to mind. The first verse and chorus in particular. I start singing quietly to myself.
Verse 1:

Then I try to imagine why she would do this. Each thought takes me a little deeper.
"Hey Farkle?" Lucas says, startling me.
"Yeah Lucas? What's up?" I respond tiredly.
"It's 12:35 am and we ran out of your house without telling anyone. Should we call one of your parents?" He asks.
"Aw crap! I totally forgot to tell my parents!" I respond, patting myself down. "Convenient! I left my phone at home." I sulk back in my chair.
"It's fine. You know your parents numbers, right?"
"Duh!"
"Ok, then you can use my phone to call. Alright?" He says.
"Ok."
He gets up to find his phone, which apparently he doesn't have either. We both sight. What are we going to do?

I had to go back and rewrite all of my chapters. Sorry for the one day wait. Also sorry if it's kinda short.

"Honey, calm down. I'm sure him and Lucas are fine." She reassures me.
"Ok. But just in case, I'm calling Toapanga!" I hear my voice does something weird when I says her name. That's happened ever since I was little and in middle school. I pick the phone up and dial the Matthews house number. Cory picks up on the third ring.
