Maya's POV
I ran out of school in tears. This isn't the first time I've run out of class, so teachers are used to it by now. I was so mad at Lucas. I was mad at him for replacing me, stealing my friends, my spot in our group. Everything. There are also so many things that I didn't tell him. Like how Riley and Farkle are the only two things that have always been there for me and how I could always rely on them.
I am halfway to the subway when I decide something. My mom is never there for me, I have never even had a dad, and my friends obviously like Lucas more than me. I have to run away. Nobody would even notice anyway. They don't notice anything about me anymore, not since that hot cowboy came here. Wait, did I just call him hot? Oh my gosh! I like Lucas. That's why I got so upset when I thought he was trying to replace me. I'm unaware of it, but I find myself standing at the entrance to the subway station.
I look behind me, at New York, at Farkle, Lucas, the Matthews family. At my life. Then I look in front of me at the station and at where it could lead me. Should I stay or should I see what life has out there for me?
