Lucas POV
When we were released from class, I try to run to the doors, but Mr. Matthews calls me back.
"Mr. Friar. I'm not sure where Maya went, or when she's coming back, so you won't have to turn it in. Or you can have an extension if she does come back."
"Thank you sir."
When I leave the building, I pull out my phone and dial Mayas number. "The number you are trying to reach is currently unavailable. Check the number or try again later." Maya's number is unavailable? That shouldn't be right. I try placing my call again. The same message. I sit against a park bench and suddenly there is a figure standing over me.
"Howdy cowboy." Missy, of course. "I saw what happened between you and May today."
"Maya." I immediately correct her.
"Whatever her name is, she still had no right to do that. It's not your fault you're more likable than she is." She said, sitting down on my lap." It's not your fault that you replaced her. And," she paused, resting her hand on my heart, feeling the beat. "It certainly isn't your fault that you have a better heart and better intentions then her." She says, looking into my eyes.
"She wants to kiss you." I think. "She's going to try and kiss you and you have to respond."
I was right. She suddenly started to lean in, but I'm prepared. I push her off my lap. "Sorry. I have to go find Maya and talk to her."
"What good will that do? She's mad at you and chances are she's far far away from here right now. So why not calm down a little and kiss me?" She leans in again, and I'm almost tempted to kiss her. But I don't.
"I'm sorry, but I have to go." And then I bolt.

Hey guys so I just got five views on my story today so I kept my promise and I'm going to update now. Sorry if this is kind of short but I can update another part today if you want.
