We took my car, and Koz drove. I kicked my shoes off onto the floorboard, and turned up the radio, singing along. We got to Big Sur by nightfall. We checked into the hotel and went for dinner. We were still dressed in what we'd worn when we got married. Once we finished dinner, we took a walk along the beach and just looked at the stars.

"It's too bad we can't have this all the time," I sighed. "It's quiet and peaceful, and just the opposite of life in Charming."

"Charming makes this place seem like heaven," Koz replied, wrapping his arm around my waist as we walked back to the hotel. We were finally alone when we got into the elevator. He turned and backed me against the wall, tipping my chin up so he could kiss me. I stood up on my toes as we kissed and pulled him closer. The bell dinged just before the doors opened and I pulled back, seeing we were on our floor. I took his hand and pulled him out into the hall toward our room.

"Come on," I teased as he pulled out the key and opened our door. "I'm going to have to start without you."

"You better not," he laughed, pushing open the door, and pulling me along behind him.

As soon as the door was closed, Koz pushed me up against the door and started kissing me again. I started unbuttoning his shirt, trying to get it off. I could feel his hands roaming my back, trying to figure out how to get my dress off.

"It's a zipper," I told him when we broke apart to catch our breaths. I held my hair up and turned around so he could unzip me. I let the dress fall to the floor and I stepped out of it, standing in front of my husband in nothing but my underwear. "I think you're a little overdressed, babe."

"Maybe I need my wife to help me," he teased.

"Oh yeah?" I laughed, finally pushing the black dress shirt off his shoulders. It didn't take long before we were both naked and having our first round of married sex. We went a couple rounds before we passed out in each other's arms. That day was probably the happiest I'd been in a long time.

The next morning, we woke up and showered before heading down to breakfast before we went down to the beach. Koz looked at his phone when we heard it buzz on the dresser. It was a text from Ope.

She knows.

"I can't say I'm surprised," I yawned. "The announcement did run in the paper this morning."

"Do you want me to respond?"

"No. I want to go get breakfast and coffee," I replied. "I'll deal with her when I get back."

"We'll deal with her when we get back," he corrected me.

We went and had breakfast and spent our morning at the beach, forgetting all about Gemma. The afternoon was spent in the hotel room licking chocolate and whipped cream off of our various body parts. Dinner was room service and a bottle of champagne.

Our remaining time in Big Sur was spent exploring the city and the beach during the day, and exploring each other at night. I was pouting on the day we had to leave to go back to Charming. I didn't want to go back to work, and I didn't want to face Gemma or Tara.

Sunday night once we were back in town and settled in at home, I turned my phone back on and had several voice and text messages from Gemma. I read them and listened to them, but I didn't respond, refusing to stoop to her level.

...

I whined when my alarm went off the next morning. "I don't want to go."

"You could always stay," Koz teased, running a hand down my spine. "Honeymoon doesn't have to stop."

I moan quietly, arching into his touch. I really did think about just staying in bed a little bit longer. I bit my lip and looked at the clock. "I can't, but maybe tonight we can recreate the thing with the chocolate?"

That lit his face up.

"I'll take that as a 'yes'," I giggled, getting up from the bed.

"I'll get the chocolate while I'm out today!"

...

My day didn't get interesting until I drove to the clubhouse after work. I walked in, to find the guys at the bar. Chibs flagged me over. "I hear congratulations are in order, Lass."

"Come here, darlin'," Piney said pulling me into a hug.

"When were ya gonna tell us?" Chibs asked, looking at my new ring.

I shrugged, "Don't worry. You'll get to have a party when the guys are out. We just wanted something quick and quiet."

"You know it's not gonna be quiet when Gemma finds out you're here," Opie teased. "She's been fuming all day."

"Speak of the devil," Miles said quietly as the door to the clubhouse was yanked open.

Gemma stormed across the room, heels clacking furiously as she went. She grabbed my left wrist and yanked it up so she could see.

"Hey, hey! That's not necessary," Koz said, stepping up behind me, and removing Gemma's hand.

She glared at us, stepping back only a fraction of an inch. "You want to explain to me why I wasn't invited to my own daughter's wedding?" Gemma snapped. "Better yet, why I got to find out with the rest of the world?!" I found out later that Chibs had been the one to tell her about it. He'd seen it in the paper, and showed her the announcement. To no one's surprise, she lost her shit.

"Because I wanted something that was just for us. It was quick and quiet. I didn't have time to tell you about it afterwards because we left for Big Sur right after the ceremony, and I turned my phone off because I didn't want to get any work calls," I lied. I didn't tell her about the wedding because I was sick of her attitude and the way she'd been treating me since Clay went inside.

"I promise you didn't miss that much," Koz said, putting his around me.

She turned on him, "Didn't miss that much?!"

"We just made this legal. We've basically been married since he asked me to be his Old Lady," I replied.

"Clay's gonna hear about this," she snapped before she turned and stormed out of the clubhouse.

"That could have been worse," I sighed once she was gone.

"Don't worry about her," Chibs said. "It'll be fine."

"I'm not worried," I replied.

"You guys should go home and enjoy your night," Opie told us.

"You don't have to tell me twice," I grinned, looking over at my husband. "You ready?"

"I'm right behind you, baby."

We left and went home to make dinner and recreate part of our honeymoon. Little did we know that we were in the calm before the storm...
