Time seemed to slow...
Link's voice rang in my ears and the feeling of movement beside my cheek was the only thing going through my mind. I wouldn't have time to move, and if I did, I'd have to trip over a desk. I flinched, despite not feeling any pain.
Time seemed to stop.
Except it didn't.
"Keep your filthy hands off of Zelda! Touch her one more time and she'll be infected with the likes of you." I head Midna's voice. Silence followed after the outburst. She was glaring daggers at Ruto, who was doing the same, almost mirroring the amount of disgust in the orange-haired girl's eyes.
Do you know her?
I had almost forgotten that Link and I could communicate this way.
"What's with all this ruckus?" a deep and gruff voice had pierced the silence. Mr Dragmire.
Anju looked helpless, like a small mouse, easily dwarfed by the olive-skinned man.
Pfft olive skinned. Zelda, I have barely known you for even ten minutes but damn I love those
descriptions.
Oh Nayru, that was coming from the guy I was fated to be in love with.
Hey, I'll fall in love with you if you fall in love with my dual attitudes first.
Now this was getting weird.
I turned my attention back on Mr Dragmire. Everyone seemed to be scared of him.
He gives me the creeps. Maybe even more than miss blue haired obsessed bitch.
I did not expect that sentence to come out of Link's mouth. Wait... it never did. Telepathy is confusing.
"Miss Twili, Miss Watters, Mr Forrest. Into my office, now." He looked at me, " Ah you too Miss Hyrule. Hurry up now." He motioned with his hand for us to follow him, like someone would do with a dog.
I was scared honestly, but I obeyed with no objections, nor did anyone honestly. Neither Link nor I 'spoke' at all during the walk to his office.

As we entered the office and sat down, the bell rang, and noise erupted outside. Students would no doubt be heading to their first class of the Tuesday, while we were stuck here.
"I'm sure you all know why you're here. Explain. Now." Mr. Dragmire once again broke the silence, like he did a minute or so ago.
Ruto started talking her mouth off, Dragmire looking unamused as ever. I ended up tuning her out. Only hearing parts of the one-sided conversation.
I saw a massive pile of paperwork on Mr. Dragmire's desk. Hang on, why was he outside of our classroom if he had this much work to do? He would've just been getting some air; I shouldn't be thinking too hard about this.
Zelda, it's more suspicious than you think.
What? What was Link saying? What did he mean?
Mr. Dragmire never leaves his office at this time unless there is something important. He never walks around the halls either. He's normally stuck in his office all day. It makes no sense. Even when there are new students, he doesn't make an exception. Nor is his office close enough to our homeroom class for him to hear. Heck, even people from the next classroom over didn't think anything of it.
Woah, that was the most I've heard Link's voice. Heck, I shouldn't be thinking about that right now. If Link is right, could he have made an exception for me because I'm rich? That couldn't be the case. This paperwork seemed way more important than me. Why was he near our classroom anyways?
We should stay silent about this.
Agreed.
"I'm extremely busy right now so run along. Zelda here's your schedule. All you, please take caution to make sure this doesn't happen again. You're dismissed."
We all stood up slowly and I took the piece of paper that Dragmire had mentioned before. We all left. In silence. Ruto ran off with a huff soon after. Total bitch. First day and I'm already making enemies.
"Scary right?" Midna began after we were a bit away from the office. "Well guess you two are bound by fate. Goodluck with that Zel, this one ain't much of a talker." Midna gestured to Link. I giggled a bit and Link frowned.
Oof, harsh much.
Ah don't worry Midna can be like that.
What class do you have first anyways?
Link looked over my shoulder to see my schedule. I didn't even have time to answer.
"Oh, hey! We all have the same class! We should walk together." Link spoke up, hoping to change the subject. Midna looked a bit surprised at his sudden intervention and I giggled happily.
I knew Midna for a long time, but It also felt like I've known Link for so much longer.
I could get used to this.
