A/N: haha this should've been the title for the last chapter. Anyways, school has started again, and chapters will be coming out slower... slower than they already were. At least I don't have assessments currently and can post but inspiration hits me only at school and I didn't use my laptop in class at all today ;-;. Anyways, apologies in advance.

I could feel the gaze of the people in the class turn to me right as walked in the door. Whispers seemed to fill the air. The first class Midna, Link and I had was ancient history, a topic I had always loved. However now, I just wanted this class to be finished and I hadn't even sat down. Link gave me a reassuring look, but didn't say anything out loud, or in his thoughts.

"Ms Hyrule, Ms Twili, Mr Forrest, please have a seat. I've already heard from Mr. Dragmire. " the teacher had directed his speech to us. A large man in cargo shorts, sandals and a shirt that had the words 'Rock rock y'all" printed on it, with rocks also printed on it. He then continued drawing a timeline on the board. One I recognised instantly. It was from the era of the Hero of Time.

The teacher put his pen down and starting walking in my direction.

"Daruk 's my name. Nice to meet you." He held his hand out to shake my hand.
I placed my hand in his and let me tell you...

I was not prepared for that vigorous of a handshake. My arm felt as if it were about to break!

I heard chuckling from my side and looked over to a grinning Link and Midna, smiling a sweet, but obviously annoyed smile.

Oh Zelda, we can both tell you're not annoyed!

Oh shush... I hated the fact that Link was right.

'Daruk' had already walked back to the board and started adding some notes to the timeline.

Daruk is his first name. His last name is actually Stones.

I recalled the prints on his shirt. Wait, was Link joking?

Nope.

I looked over at Link, who had the most serious face ever, which didn't at all seem different from his resting face.

Daruk cleared his throat to gather the class' attention. I listened intently, but this was stuff I had already learnt, but more in depth. I followed along and waited for the period to finish so I could go and eat lunch. Heck, I was also waiting to escape the stares and gossip, go somewhere far away.

I'll take you somewhere after this if you want to be alone. Midna sits with loud kids. I mean... you don't if you don't want to.

I'll decide to take you up on your offer.
My heart was pounding wildly in my chest, and I was almost impatient for the period to end. Get away from all this madness. Get away from the rumours. Get away from those who were mad at me for being Link's soulmate.

I smiled and looked over to my side. Link just looked at me in confusion, probably having blocked out my thoughts to focus on the lesson. Or maybe I had the option to hide some thoughts from Link? I heard some girls whisper behind us and some people gave me looks of disgust. I leant over Link's book and corrected an imaginary mistake. I wrote down two words.

'Thank you'

He just smiled back and said or did nothing.
I could only think about his offer, drowning out the sneers and malice directed to me behind my back.

It would be perfect to get away from the world.

To get away with Link.

A/N: Ayy! Another chapter! It's very short, because I'm writing this late and have a musical rehearsal tomorrow. I really had a dash of inspiration just now. Heck, I want to continue writing but I need to put a stop somewhere so that I could end the chapter in a good way. Also, it's 11pm rn where I'm at and I should fix my sleep schedule.Heck the last paragraph from 'Getting away from those who were mad at me for being Link's soulmate' up to ' get away with link' was mostly written because I didn't wanna stop writing oof.

Zelda will find something in the chapter to become literal sooner or later.
