My name is Trinity.
I have a brother named Tristan.
We were meant to be Zero and Infinity, but we didn't come out the way mom wanted us to.
Mainly because I came first, and then Tristan.
We were no longer numbers or possibilities to mom. We were just kids growing up to be average adults.
But to me, we are elements.
Fire and Earth equals destruction equals me.
Water and Air equals reincarnation equals Tristan.
Reincarnation and Destruction and Numbered Possibilities equals to the Perfect Balance equals to ???
???
Who's that?
Not me.
Not you.
Not Tristan.
Not Ryan.
Not anyone else.
But most probably Luke.
*
Luke Hemmings. A boy whom I just met a couple weeks ago. In fact I did not acknowledge his existence one bit till he asked me for help.
He's cocky bastard.
A good looking cocky bastard.
Who is quite nice in reality.
With a nice smile.
Shut up, Trinity.
Luke was nice to me, to everyone, and he dated Gwen. Until she left him so suddenly, without a trace of any sort. Except me. Because I have her number.
And I refuse to give it to Luke.
Why?
I am destruction. Destruction means causing pain. It means deception. It means selfish. I am all of those things. I crave attention.
It's who I am, really.

I sit at the back of the bus, leaning my head against the glass pane and listening to music. Mainstream music.
At some point, I must've dozed off, because I woke up with a start when one of my earpieces was pulled out. I looked to my left and saw Luke inserting it into his ear while giving me a small smile.
'Cause no one ever looks so good in a dress and it hurts cause I know you won't be mine tonight. No one ever makes me feel like you do when you smile, baby tell me how to make it right. Now all of my friends say she's not really worth it, but even if that's true, no one in the world could stop me from not moving on baby even if I wanted to. Nobody compares to you.
"This is is my favorite song off their album," he tells me, scratching the back of his neck and then licking his lips.
I nod and smile tiredly, too exhausted to say anything. He doesn't question my behaviour, all he does is say, "Close your eyes. I'll wake you when we reach. I promise."
He could've ditched me. He could've broken his promise. He could've betrayed me.
He should've done all those things.
Since I betrayed him.

"Trinity," Luke murmured, shaking me awake. "Trin, wake up. We're almost at school." I nod, covering up my yawn as I heard Luke giggle.
He giggles. That's adorable. Shut up Trin.
I opened my eyes and fumbled to pause the music that was playing. Once it stopped, Luke handed me the earpiece. I smiled a little and shoved it into my bag.
"Hey, uh," Luke started to say. "Do you want to hang out later? Like, after school?"
I shake my head and reply, "Sorry, but Marlene and Chelsea are taking me to the mall. Maybe tomorrow?" Luke nods in disappointment before flashing a grin.
"Well, I'll see you later, Trin!" he calls out as he runs towards the school. I smile, walking towards the same building.
You know what's bothering me? It's whether he knows I have Gwen's number. I understand that it's impossible, but I can't shake off the feeling of uneasiness.
Stupid Trinity.
That's right. Stupid Trinity.
Stupid Trinity causes destruction equals me.
