"The Fire, the Water, the Earth, the Air."
"What about those elements?"
"Well, they form you, and I love you."
Luke pulls me closer to him and I rest my head under his chin. I play with his hands as he chuckles softly. He tilts his head so it's his cheek that resting on my head.
"Luke?"
"Hmm?"
"When did you get that tattoo?"
I point at his left wrist where the infinity sign had the four elements in it.
"Oh? Two weeks ago."
"No wonder you had a bandage..." I paused, squinting at the tattoo. "Wait, there's something wrong with it."
"What? Why?"
"You forgot that you're like the number zero, empty, but filled with infinite possibilities."
"Like you?"
I blush and turn away. "I'm just Fire and Earth."
"No, you're also the number zero. Of all the infinite possibilities, you chose my possibility."
"You do know that that sentence doesn't make sense, right?"
"Shut up, Trin."
Yeah. Shut up, Trin.
