I sit on the couch, gazing out of the window, watching the snow fall and hit the ground.

Trinity loves snow. Why? Because it's related to water.

"It starts out as solid, then melts in your hand to form Water," she says. "It's deceptive and beautiful."

I agree.

"Luke?" I look behind to see Trinity standing there, wearing one of my pullovers. The sleeves were so long that they practically covered her hands.

It was funny, after school and years of just being with each other, we got married. She was still the same, obsessed over elements but not over Avatar.

I love her.

"What's up?" she asks, sitting next to me.

"The Fire and the Earth and the number zero," I answer her. She smiles and raises an eyebrow.

"What about those?"

"Well, they form you, and I love you."

She giggles. "I said that to you after we got together."

"Yes, yes you did," I reply, wrapping my arms around her.

She leans against me, sighing in content. She's smiling as she does so.

Beautiful.

"Do you want to play in the snow?" I ask.

"Wearing these?" she frowns slightly, but she's not mad or annoyed. Happiness still twinkling in her eyes.

"Why not?"

"I guess it's true. YOLO, right?"

I stare at her in disbelief. "I can't believe you just said that!"

"Role reversal, I guess?" Trinity shrugs, pursing her lips together.

"Role reversal indeed."

I lean down and pressed my lips against hers and she doesn't hesitate to kiss me back.

It's like a cliché love story, a couple kissing with snow as the background.

So cliché.

Cliché but perfect.

Infinitely empty yet fulfilled at the same time.
