I stare at him from outside, contemplating whether or not to just walk away from the window or to wait for me. He looks around, ensuring no one would watch him before jogging towards the spot beneath my window.

Our eyes connected and I could see him begging for me to come down.

I really shouldn't. I'll just destroy him all over again.

Opening my window, I leaned out and said, "I'm not coming."

He stared at me blankly, yet there was sadness in his eyes. I gulp as they pierce into mine.

"Please," he begs, running a hand through his hair. "Just hear me out."

"This is funny," I say, placing my elbows on the windowsill. "Shouldn't it be me who is supposed to be begging you to hear me out?"

"You're the one avoiding me when I should be avoiding you," he mumbles.

"Let's just say we have been avoiding each other. It's a mutual thing," I laugh and he smiles.

"I'm still not coming down, though," I add before closing the window and walking away. It was immediately followed by a bunch of pebbles lightly tapping against the glass.

There was a bit of rustling, and the next thing I knew, Luke was right outside my room. My eyes start to widen as he mouths, "Please open this."

I walk over and lifted it up, pulling him into my room at the same time.

"You better make this worth my time," I say, sitting cross-legged on the floor. He nods and the next sentence shocks me.

"Gwen hates me and I realize that I love you," he says in a rush, his cheeks crimson.

He found out the reason.

And he came to a conclusion.

He loves me.

Luke Hemmings loves me.

What?

Wait.

I love him too.

It's a mutual feeling.

a/n: hey i'm so sorry for updating really late and that this chapter is quite short but i had a play to watch and i had writers block. don't worry, i have everything sorted out, and my chapters should come out on time starting tomorrow. hopefully. i understand that i haven't really been developing trinity as much as i really want to because even to me, she's a huge mystery although she can be a sadist. things will pick up soon and i'm sorry but this story will be ending soon. after all, it's a short story, so i hope you didn't expect it to be so short. thank you for all your support!
