chapter 15

Tuesday 9 am

Luna woke up by her own will. She slowly opened her eyes and glanced at her wall clock. She inhaled deeply and released her breath after. "Lu! Breakfast is ready!" Kelly yelled from downstairs, loud enough for Luna to hear. "I'll just wash my face!" Luna yelled back before standing up to go to her bathroom to wash her face.

Luna walked downstairs to be greeted by Adrien who ran up to her and lifted her up off the ground. "Woah, why are you excited all of a sudden" Luna asked ash she tightly gripped on Adrien's shoulder. "He told me that he had a dream where him and you had a kid and the kid was just like you. Literally" Kelly explained when she saw Adrien walking in the kitchen, still carrying Luna. "What?" Luna exclaimed and chuckled. "Our daughter followed your footsteps and became as strong and independent as you" Adrien explained further. "Okay, one, I am not letting my child follow my footsteps. If we ever have a child, we will protect him or her at all cost and not let it become like us if we are talking about our work as secret agents. And two, we've only dated for days and you already had a dream of us being a family?" Luna said in protest. Adrien gently placed her down on her feet and pouted at her. Luna looked at him and smiled. "Oh, shut up and let's eat. Who knows, maybe your dream will come true" she said and gave Adrien a peck on the lips before walking towards the kitchen counter. Adrien followed behind with a wide smile plastered on his face. "Get a fucking room already" Kelly teased. "You're just jealous that I get to have Luna all to myself" Adrien teased back. "Honey, don't make me kidnap Luna and make her avoid you" Kelly responded and shot him a death glare. "save your killings later and just enjoy your damn breakfast" Luna spoke, and they all chuckled.

The whole day, they just talked and played some board games at Luna's place. It's been a long time since they've hung out like this, so, they decided to do so while they have time. When it was around 3 in the afternoon, Adrien told them to get ready since they need to be by the headquarters at 6 pm for their ride to pick them up. Adrien gave Luna a quick kiss before leaving to his place.

Kelly and Luna went to their rooms and started to get ready. Luna did her make-up first; an intimidating gold look with blood red lips. She curled her hair a little bit and lets it hang lose. She then wore her gown that made her look twice as stunning, wore her heels, then placed her designed fake nails on her real ones. She tucks her favorite gun, along with two of her phones and her contacts in her handbag and placed her earpiece in her left ear. She stared at herself in the mirror and she surprised herself. "damn. Do I really look like that?" she asked herself, smiling a little. "Luna! Are you done?" Kelly yelled once again. "I swear her throat will sore if she keeps on yelling" Luna said under her breath as she walked out of her room.

When Kelly saw Luna walking down the stairs, her eyes immediately went wide and her jaw dropped. "You my lady, are the main attraction tonight" Kelly mentions as she scanned Luna from head to toe. "same goes with you, sister" Luna responded before chuckling with Kelly. Someone then rang their doorbell, interrupting their little moment. "Adrien's here" Kelly said and walked towards the front door. She opened it and it revealed Adrien, wearing a jaw dropping suit and tie and an eye-catching hairstyle. "Is Lu-" he couldn't finish his sentence when he saw Luna behind Kelly. Kelly stepped aside to fully show what Luna looks like, and Adrien became even more speechless. "Looks like I won" Luna teased as she walked towards her boyfriend. "but I do admit, you still look amazing" she added. Adrien just stared at her and couldn't make out a single word. "Earth to Adrien" Kelly said, snapping her fingers in front of Adrien's face. He snapped out of his little daydream and finally spoke. "Uhm, let's go? It's almost 6 pm" he said nervously as he looked away. Luna chuckled and gently grabbed his chin, making him look at her. "get used to this" she said, looking straight into his eyes before walking away, towards Adrien's car. "Looks like someone became even more luckier" Kelly teased as she locked the front door. "Shut up and get in the car" Adrien said, making Kelly laugh before walking ahead.

They arrived by the headquarters on time and saw their ride waiting for them. they went in the white range rover and headed their way to the event's place. Luna was silent the whole ride. When Adrien noticed it, he held her hand and gave it a squeeze. "You'll be alright" He assured her as he taps his earpiece when she looked at him. "you heard?" Luna asked in a whisper. He just nodded and leaned in to kiss her forehead. "You'll be alright" he repeated, keeping his forehead leaned on hers as he caressed her cheek.

After some time, they arrived in front of the place. They observed the surroundings while they were still in the car. "That's a lot of people" Kelly mentioned. "yeah, no shit" Luna responded. "you go out last" Adrien said as he looked at Luna. She nodded and waited patiently for them to go out first. Kelly was the one who walked out first, earning some looks from the people around.

"who is she?"

"why do I not know her?"

"have we made a deal with her before?"

Kelly just sent them death glares and walked ahead to enter the place. Next was Adrien. Since there were paparazzi as well, some saw him and started to take photos of him. He showed no emotion at all, just so he can at least intimidate some people. After scanning the area a little bit more, he walked ahead as well and went towards the big door to wait for Luna.

Before walking out the car, Luna heaved a deep sigh. "You'll be alright", Luna repeated Adrien's words in her head. When she had the courage, she finally stepped out of the car. every pair of eyes were now on her.

"she looks likes Mr. Crawford's daughter"

"isn't that her?"

"wait, it is her!"

"It's Mr. and Mrs. Crawford's daughter!"

Once the paparazzi heard the information, they ran near Luna and took photos. Luna started to panic but calmed down when she saw Adrien ahead of her. She slowly walked towards him as she listened to everyone's questions and comments.

"I heard that the Crawford is here tonight"

"does that mean they get to see their daughter?"

"where has she been all these years!"

"she is such a rebel though"

She ignored the people and continued to walk towards Adrien. He reached out his hand for her to grab once she was close enough to reach it. "are you okay?" he asked as soon as they were close to each other. "Mhm. I'm just a bit overwhelmed" Luna answered, He nodded on response and leaded her towards their table, where Kelly is waiting. "you guys know the plan, right?" Kelly whispered when Luna and Adrien sat down. They both nodded and waited for their cue. They were waiting for the event to start. After a few minutes, the lights were dimmed down and there's a spotlight on the stage. "Ladies and Gentlemen. I would love to call up on to the stage, Mr. and Mrs. Crawford, to formally start this wonderful event" the lady said through the microphone.

Well shit, Luna thought when she heard her parents' name.
