Chapter 27

“what are you going to tell them if they see me like this?” Luna asked Ace while they’re on their way back to Luna’s parents’ house. “we’ll see. But don’t worry, I’ll cover you up” Ace said. “how are you feeling right now?” he added. “it still stings, but I feel much better than earlier” Lunas answered.

After a few minutes, they finally arrived at the house. As they entered, they saw Luna’s father waiting in the living room. When he saw Luna, he immediately stood up and ran up to her. “are you okay? What happened?” John asked. “we were minding our own business walking in a park when some asshole ran towards us and tried to make us give him our money. Luna, being the brave girl that she is, tried to stop him by beating him up. but the man was muscular and threw a few punches at her” Ace started. “but I was strong enough to make him unconscious. Ace rushed me to a near clinic to treat my wounds. I’m all good now” Luna finished. “is that so, well, you better get to your room and rest. You can skip dinner tonight” her father said. “Alright. It was nice finally meeting you, uncle Ace” Luna said and teased. Ace tried to hold in his chuckle and coughed. “it was nice to meet you too” he said. Luna bids him goodbye and went to her room.

“you know what’s weird?” Adrien said. “what?” Luna asked. “hearing Ace act so innocent in front of your father” he continued. Luna chuckled and lays on her bed. She hissed when the bruise on her stomach started to sting again. “just try to get some sleep. Your bruises and swollen muscles should be healed by tomorrow morning” Adrien instructed. “alright. Thank you” Luna said. “what can I say? I need to be prepared if I’m going to have a family with you” Adrien teased. Luna chuckled again and closed her eyes. “you better be prepared. I’m leaving you if you can’t take care of our kid” Luna unconsciously blurted out and suddenly fell asleep. Adrien has a wide smile plastered on his face upon hearing what she just said. “Don’t worry, love. I’ll take care of you and our kids in the future” he whispered.

Tuesday

“tomorrow’s the big day!” Kelly yelled through the earpiece. Luna shot her eyes open and sat up. “Wake up!” Kelly yelled even more. Luna groaned. “I’m up. stop yelling, you’re going to make me def” Luna complained. “Sure. Anyway, good morning” Kelly greeted. “Good morning” Luna replied and yawned. “good morning cupcake” Adrien greeted as well. “good morning, love” Luna answered. “get ready, I will be picking you in an hour from now” Ace instructed. “what? Why?” Luna asked. Suddenly, someone knocked on her door. “come in” Luna said. The door opened and revealed her father. “hey sweetie. Ace is picking you up today. He offered to tag you along in the mall to buy your wedding dress for tomorrow” her father explained. “Oh. Alright, I’ll get ready then” Luna said. With that said, John nodded and walked away as he closes her door. “that’s why. Now get your ass up and get ready” Ace demanded, teasing her. “I hear you” Luna teased back.

After a few minutes of prepping up, Luna went downstairs and into the living room to wait for Ace. “why are you dressed up?” Mary asked as she walks into the living room. “Ace is picking me up and we’ll be shopping at the mall” Luna answered without looking at her. “and what will you be buying?” Mary asked. “that’s your business, why?” Luna bluntly said and looked at her. “and why are you hanging out with Ace?” she asked, dodging Luna’s question. “Why? What’s wrong with that? Got beef with him?” Luna asked as she stood up and walked in front of Mary. Mary stepped back. “you can be like this to me, but better not ruin the wedding tomorrow and say yes” Mary said and stormed off. “I won’t ruin it. I’ll burn it into flames along with you” Luna whispered to herself. “sis you harsh” Kelly teased. Luna hummed in agreement and just then, someone rang the doorbell. “finally” Luna said and opened the door. “you ready?” Ace asked. “Yes, uncle” Luna teased. Ace rolled his eyes and walked ahead of her. Luna closes the door behind her and follow Ace.
