Why do we celebrate the arts?

Its a question I asked myself. What's so special about the arts? But thanks to this question I realized how important and essential it is to our life. To our world. I also realized that I asked this question to myself cause I didn't understand the beauty of the arts. I didn't appreciate arts as much as it deserves.

Arts is not just about drawing or painting. Arts is any form of a colorful expression or imagination. It represents the creative ideas of an artist. Arts could be expressed in many ways. It is like a tree actually. A tree that has a lot of branches that grows colorful leaves. And it has a lot of different kinds. A tree of dancers, singers, actors, writers, artists and so on. All of these professions and talents create arts. And every tree is a family.

Arts is created for a purpose. Something like for entertainment. But whatever is the purpose there is always a message from the artist who created it. And that message could be engraved to your heart and mind. How? Don't you realize? When I read a novel, it felt like I've been in the world of the characters, and being there they earned a special place to my heart even if I'm aware that they're just fictional. When I listen to a song that is danceable when I'm sad, my surroundings seem to brighten and cheer me up. You might have felt the same thing in a different art. It could be when you watched a movie or staring at a masterpiece of artwork from a gallery. It's impossible that you felt nothing. But what I'm pointing out here is that Arts is very powerful to the point it gives us this kind of impact that changes our minds and perceptions.

Everyone is an artist. A role of an artist is not just about producing colors and stuff. Being an artist takes purpose. Ask yourself, what kind of artist am I? I'm a writer. Why do you write? Because it is what my heart desires. Arts is essential to our life because it gives us the opportunity to become who we are. It helps us to express our emotions. To express ourselves.

But why is it important to our world? Imagine the world without it. Dull, dark and boring place. No emotions. No music, movies, or books. Humans may have a heart, but an empty one. No influential musicians like Beethoven or IV of Spades. No writers like William Shakespeare or J.K Rowling. No painters like Picasso or Juan Luna. We wouldn't know our remarkable histories without art. We won't recognize these inspiring people without it. None of it would exist. If the arts could change our perceptions, it could also change our cruel reality.

Everyone has an eye of an artist. We could imagine the world we want that doesn't exist today. Picture that and it would help us to move forward and slowly create that world into reality as a family in the future. Thanks a lot to this question and experience, I learned and realized what arts have done for me. For us and the world. You have the eye of an artist. Are you willing to open it?
