The next day, she sat down, grabs a pen and paper and starts writing for a draft for The Weekly Sorcerer.
After 3 gruesome hours, she finally finished and head over to the The Weekly Sorcerer HQ to give her draft.
All she has to do is wait for a week or two for a response.
During those 2 weeks, she got some part time jobs as a waitress and cleaning up shops so that she can get money for food and stuff.
And finally, after those 2 weeks, she comes home with a letter that comes from The Weekly Sorcerer. The letter says,
Dear Jules,
We as a group of senior writers have finally read your draft and we must say, we really liked it. If you want to become a famous writer someday, we would love for you to come to The Weekly Sorcerer HQ tomorrow and interview you about your future.
Sincerely, Jason Freed.
She jumped for joy and she quickly went to her closet to find out what to wear for tomorrow.
She got a striped pink shirt with some white slippers and short shorts.
"Finally, I'm going to be a writer." Jules said to herself in excitement.
The next day, she goes to The Weekly Sorcerer HQ and looked at the building in amazement.
"Right, calm down, Jules. It's only an interview." She calms her down and head to the reception desk.
"Hello, how can I help you?" The reception lady asks her.
"Um, Jules Crawford?" She said in a nervous tone.
"Ah, you're here for an interview, yeah?" The reception lady asks her.
She nodded and gives her a visitors pass ID.
"Good luck, Jules." The reception lady said.
She thanks her and head to the writers building in the back of HQ, through the photography and newspaper offices.
She sees people going around, handing out papers and a lot of chatter.
Eventually, she finds Jason Freed's office.
She knocks and says,
"Um, I'm Jules Crawford. You asked me to come here." She says nervously while Jason is reading something.
"Oh, Jules. Glad you could make it. I'm actually reading your piece again, it's really good. Please, seat down." Jason says to her.
She comes in and sits down in a chair in front of Jason's desk.
He puts down Jules' draft and says,
"You are definitely talented, that was my third time reading that and I'm still amazed!" Jason says in an impressive tone.
"Thank you, I never thought you'd like it." Jules says it shyly.
"Like it? I love it! How you describe it and how people sometimes lose the value of something until you've lost it, that's something I never thought of."
"Thank you." She saids shyly.
"Tell you what, if you can give me another one like this, I might give a job here."
"What do you say?" Jason gives his hand.
She had a shocked face and shook his hand.
"I won't let you down, sir." Jules says in excitement.
"Please, call me Jason."
"Great , you'll start tomorrow." Jason said to her as she stands up. "Oh, and we swear casual here, so don't worry about what to wear."
"Yes Jason, thank you for the opportunity." She says as she bows and head out.
She got out of the building and looks like she's about to scream.
"Yes, I'm finally a writer." Jules whispered to herself as she heads home.
"Now, time to make a name for myself."
The next day, she heads out to The Weekly Sorcerer and went straight to the writers building, excited to finally work as a writer.
"Hello." Jules greeted herself.
"Jules, over here." Jason said as he waves his hand to get noticed by Jules.
She goes to Jason and sees an empty cubicle.
"Here is your office and helping for the day is Shouko, over there."
He points to the girl with brown hair, and getting coffee from the break room.
"Shouko, come here. Meet the new writer." Jason said.
"Hi. My name is Shouko Ishida. Nice to meet you, I bet we're going to be great friends." She says as she smiles to Jules.
"Hello, I'm Jules Crawford. I hope we can get along." She replied.
"Now, I'll leave you two to it. I need to do some work, so again, welcome Jules." Jason says as he head to his office.
For the rest of the day, Shouko helped Jules on what usually happens in the office.
"So, that's it. That's all you need to know." Shuko says as she just finished giving Jules a walkthrough of the place.
"Thank you, I'll make some really great pieces." Jules said with confidence.
"Do that and you'll make me lose my job." Shouko said jokingly.
They both giggled and headed to their cubicle, their desks are right next to each other, so that they can talk if they want to.
After that, a year went by.
In there, Jules has made some astonishing pieces that got everyone from around the continent reading about it.
She first one was an article of The Grand Magic Games where Fairy Tail won and Sabertooth coming in close second and what happened after that, the Dragon attack.
Then, she made a piece about the Ten Wizard Saints about how they made their way into that list.
After that, she made a couple of pieces about some specific wizards like Ichiya, Kagura, Sting and more.
Then, she released the piece that got her job, she called it Dark Necessities. It talks about how people realise the true value of something when they don't have it and it becomes a necessity for that person and it can effect you in so many ways. This piece was her most successful one yet.
It was so successful, it got Lucy's attention.
