Chapter 19: Courage

Night starts and the party ends at around midnight.

"Ah, what a great party." Juvia said happily to the girls as they all head home.

"I know. Now, we go to work tomorrow." Lucy replied.

"Yeah, but whatever. What's important is that Juvia is back. Welcome back Juvia!" Erza shouted.

"Yeah!" They shouted in unison.

"Thank you, girls. Juvia is lucky to have such great friends." She hugs all of them.

"Alright, we're going home, bye." Levy, Erza and Wendy waves goodbye and heads to Fairy Hills.

"Oh yeah, you haven't found a home yet. Do you want to stay with me for a night until you get a home?" Lucy offered her.

Then, she saw Gray waiting for her outside of his apartment.

"Um, Juvia will think about it." Juvia replied.

Lucy saw Gray as well.

She shoulder bumps Juvia and says,

"Go get your guy." She teases her. "Hey, my offer still stands okay?"

She nods and heads to Gray.

"So, about our home..." he says as he rubs the back of his head. "I moved out and went to my old home."

"She saw a little bit surprised about the info.

"I'm sorry, the apartment was just too much for me and it... it was too big for me anyways so—" he was cut out by Juvia by shushing him with her point finger.

"It's alright. Juvia would guess that you would move. It probably had too much memories of Juvia." She said with a bright smile.

Gray was blushing by the second and looking down.

"So, I guess that the girls offered you to stay at their homes." He said.

"Yeah, Lucy-san did." Juvia replied.

"But I was thinking if you would... like... to..." Gray said looking and blushing.

Juvia smirked to Gray's actions. Then, she pulls Gray's hand and heads to his apartment.

"Hey, Juvi—" he saw Juvia's smile. That was the answer to his question.

"You thought that Juvia wouldn't stay with his true love?" She opens the door to Gray's apartment.

She pushes him and makes him sit on the couch. Then, she goes closer to his ears and whispers,

"Wait here, Juvia will make you remember what Juvia is like." And heads to the bathroom.

Gray was surprised about what she said and her actions.

Gray takes off his shirt and pants, now only wearing boxers.

A couple of minutes later, Juvia comes out of the bathroom wearing her nightgown that she found hanging on the shower rack.

"You kept this, Gray-sama?" Juvia asked him.

"Oh yeah, you left that here and I just left it there to hang." Gray answered. "It's probably dirty and smelly."

She sits on Gray's lap facing towards him.

"No, it's perfect." Then, she closes in and kisses him, he responds with a kiss back.

The night went on and next thing you know, they were in bed.

Juvia was asleep on Gray's arms while Gray looks out of the window. He was thinking of the great miracle that his one true love is actually not dead but it's actually in front of him.

"You will be my wife."He thought. He pulls out something from his drawer beside the bed.

He pulls out a ring box, containing in it, a diamond ring.

"I just need to muster up some courage to say it to you."

He puts it back and falls asleep.
