The next day, Jules wakes in her apartment, unaware of what happened last night. She grunts and says,
"What happened last night?" Jules asked herself.
She freshens up and heads to the guild. But waiting outside the building of her apartment,
Shouko was waiting for her.
She was surprised that she's in Magnolia.
"Wow, what are you doing here?" Jules asks her as she hugs her.
"I'm here to make an article about Lucy Heartfillia." She answered.
"Oh, come with me, I know her." She says as she holds her hand on the way to the guild.
There, Gray was waiting for Jules.
"Jules, you're here." Gray notices Shouko. "Who's your friend?"
"This is Shouko Ishida." Jules greeted her to the gang. "She's here to interview Lucy."
"Oh really?" Lucy heard her.
"Yes, I heard what you did when the dragons attacked Fiore, so I want someone who closed the Eclipse."
Lucy was blushing that someone is complimenting her on what she did.
"Alright, I'll leave you to it and me and Gray will go somewhere private for my article." Jules said to the gang.
"Are you sure about that?" Shouko teases her. "Are you sure it's not a date, 'cause if it's not, I might date him." She whisperes to her as she looks at him and blushing.
"Don't even try, he still loves his girlfriend that past away." Jules whispers to Shouko.
"Oh yeah, I remember that. She died protecting the city. I think her name was Juvia Lockser."
"Juvia..." Jules says as she ponders the name. "That sounds familiar..."
"Anyways, I'll leave you with Lucy, while me and Gray—" Jules says as she got pulled by her hand by Gray.
"Let's go." He says as he gives her a smile.
She blushes a little bit as they head out the guild.
They went to the same cafe to give an interview to Gray.
She has a question in the back of head that doesn't relate to the article but it's just curiosity.
"I have something to ask you and it's not related to the article." Jules asks her in a soft tone.
"Sure, ask away." Gray insisted.
"What was Juvia like?"
Gray was surprised about the question and his smile disappeared.
"Um, but if you don't want to answer that question, it's alright. I was just curious." Jules said. "I don't want to force you to answer it."
"No, I'll answer it." Gray said. "I want you to know why I don't want to be with another woman."
"Juvia... was everything to me. At first I didn't like her because she liked me back In fact, she loved me too much at the point where I started ignoring her. But, the more I'm with her, the more I realised that... I love her. And now, she's gone. And all that she ever wanted is for me to be happy, but I'm not because she's not by my side and..." Gray was interrupted by Jules holding his hand.
"That's enough, you're hurting yourself." Jules said. "But eventually, you need to move on and look forward."
"Thanks. To be honest, I've never has fun since Juvia past away and you were my cure of forgetting everything about her." Gray said. "In fact, you look really similar to her, like you're the same person."
Jules blushed a little.
"And I think I..." he tried to pull her closer but she slipped her hand and was moving away from him.
"I'm sorry, I don't want this." Jules said, her head down, embarrassed.
"Jules, listen. Being with you the past couple of days made me realise that this is all I need, to find another woman like you." Gray said.
"I'm sorry but I have to go." Jules left Gray but Gray pursuit her.
"Wait, please. Let's talk about this." Gray said desperately.
"No, I can't I..." then she stumbled onto a raised rock and fell. She went and sat to a tree, the same tree where Gray and Juvia confessed.
Gray helped her. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I tripped over something." Jules checks her knees.
Then, Gray held her chin and raised it near his head, their faces, only a couple inches apart.
Jules was bright red and Gray went closer until...
