Chapter 17: Truth

The next day, Jules wakes up with one goal in her mind: apologise and confess to Gray.

She ate breakfast, took a quick shower, wore her casual clothes and heads out to find Gray.

"Right, time to make things right." She said to herself confidently.

She first went to the guild to find Gray.

"Mira-san, where's Gray?" She asked.

"He hasn't been in here since this morning." She replied.

So, she heads out to find Gray around Magnolia.

She goes to the places that they went, the cafe, the park and the bar. But Gray was no where to be found.

In fact, Gray was at the place where Juvia saved the city by sacrificing her life: the old warehouse.

He was remembering the face that she gave to him when the bomb was about to explode.

He was beginning to tear up.

"I wish that I was the one that stopped the bomb." Gray said as he sheds a tear.

He leaves the scene knowing that his heart is undecided if he wants to love Juvia forever or have Jules be his new one true love.

Then, he goes to the cemetery to visit Juvia's grave.

"It's been a year ever since you past away, Juvia." Gray said to her grave. "I did promise to you that I would love you forever, but..."

"But people say that I should move on from you, but the years that you have been chasing for me and finally, that day has come and now you're gone, you left me with your love with it."

"And now..."

"You're stuck in a rut." Jules cut in as she finally found Gray.

Gray to avoid her by running away from her, but Jules followed her until Gray stopped at a cliff that oversees the whole city.

"Jules..." Gray said. "Look, about what happened yesterday. I'm sorry, I didn't know what I was doing."

"No, I should say sorry." Jules said shyly. "I rejected you because I was comparing myself to your one true love and I thought that I'll never be like her. But now, I know I'm not exactly like her, but 

I know I can give the same feeling the you did with her." She said confidently.

"Jules..." Gray said as he gets closer to her. Then, he gets a hold of her shoulders and says,

"I'm sorry, but I can't do this."

Jules was surprised to hear that.

"Please, I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy." Jules begged.

Then, she gets closer and tries to kiss her and she did.

This got Gray by surprise that she went in for the kiss.

Instead, Gray pushed her. But he pushed her too hard as she stumbles from the edge and falls down through bushes, trees and rocks.

"No, Jules!" Gray shouts as he follows her down the cliff.

She finally stops after a 50ft drop of nature.

She has a ton bruises, cuts and she hit her head really hard on a rock because she's unconscious and her head was bleeding.

Gray goes down and aids her.

"I'm so sorry, I shouldn't rejected you. I should've welcomed you to my life." Gray said as he cries. "I love you."

He carries her bridal style and head to the guild so that she can be treated by Porlyusica, the Fairy Tail medic and doctor.

The gang saw Gray carrying the unconscious and bleeding Jules. The gang rushes to Gray to ask him about what happened but Gray ignored them and heads straight to Porlyusica.

"What happened to this poor lady?" She asked Gray.

"She fell on a cliff." Gray answered. "It was about a 50ft drop."

"I'll treat her, no worries." She says as Gray drops her onto a bed.

"But, you have to leave the room at once." Porlyusica demanded.

So, she pushed them out of the medic room and shut the doors.

Gray waited all day beside the doors until Porlyusica finally opened it.

"She's fine. All she needs is rest. But, she hit her head really hard. I think she might have amnesia." Porlyusica said to Gray.

But, little did they know that the hit on her head is the cure for Juvia, the real person's, amnesia.

Gray walks into the room and sees "Jules" sleeping on the bed, her head heavily bandaged.

"Don't worry, Jules. I'll be by your side forever and ever." Gray said as he holds her hand.

The next day, Gray was resting his head on the side of the bed, sleeping, as Juvia wakes up confused.

"G-gray... sama?" Juvia said softly.

She touches his head and caresses it.

That made Gray wake up.

"Jules? You're finally awake?" Gray said as he hugs her.

But, Juvia was confused to why Gray called her Jules.

"Huh? Who's Jules? It's me, Juvia." Juvia pleaded.

"Wait, Juvia? But she's..." Gray said as she stares at her, confused.

"It's your one true love, Juvia Lockser." She worryingly says.

"But..." Gray was trying to make a sentence but he was confused to what Jules was saying.

Then, he looked at her one more time.
