Mrs. Potts (on her trolley cart) escorts Adeline from the dining room.

Mrs. Potts moves off as Adeline climbs the stairs toward her room. At the top, she hurries up the staircase leading to the west wing...
Furniture lies in rubble, curtains are shredded evidence of the beast's temper. Wary, Adeline investigates.

With a start, Adeline wheels to find the eyes belong to a royal portrait. The subject seems to be a teenage boy but his face has been slashed.
Only the eyes survived. Bright blue. Engaging. Resembling the eyes of the beast. She realized that this is the "prince of fellow" Mrs. Potts was referring to.
Adeline leans in to study the painting. A royal family stands by the castle. The father's image has been slashed. The Queen's remains pristine. Kind. Beautiful.
Adeline moves past a large four-poster bed, its faded coverlet gray with dust, like no one has slept in it for years. On the floor, she saw a makeshift bed made of straw, torn bits of fabric and crumpled blankets the resting place of a nocturnal carnivore.
Adeline turns and sees the glow coming from the glass jar by an open window leading to the balcony.
Inside the jar... was The Enchanted Rose.
Mesmerized, Adeline approached the rose. She lifts the jar, leaving the rose unprotected. She reaches out to touch the rose. A shadow cuts across Adeline's face.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? WHAT DID YOU
DO TO IT!?
The beast bears down on Adeline, backing her up. She puts down the bell jar.
Nothing. She said in fear.
DO YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU COULD HAVE
DONE!? YOU COULD HAVE DAMNED US ALL!
GET OUT! GO!
Adeline runs. The beast turns and covers the rose, panicked and protective.
Lumière and Cogsworth play chess on an upper landing, with Froufrou resting between them.
Checkmate. Again. Said Lumière
Because you cheated. Again.
Adeline appears, racing down the west wing staircase.
Mademoiselle... what are you doing?
Getting out of here!
Cogsworth jumps onto the chess board as Lumière hops to the floor.
Stop! Said Cogsworth
Go go, Froufrou! Said Lumière.
Froufrou jumps up and starts after Adeline.
Yes Froufrou, stop her! Yelled Cogsworth
Adeline barrels down the main staircase, Froufrou in close pursuit.
