They ended up diagnosing me with anxiety and they put me on anxiety medication that was supposed to be safe for the baby. It helped numb the anxiety to instead of it being there all the time it would only show up if I was really panicking.
25weeks, Jughead POV:
"Betty I can't fit any of my jeans anymore." "Jug you're pregnant, no one will judge if you live off of sweat pants for the remainder of the pregnancy." "Betty I always wear jeans, I can't fit my shirts and now I can't fit my jeans." Betty rubbed my shoulder," It's fine I promise." I sighed and showed up to school not feeling very confident in my t-shirt and sweat pants. I also found being pregnant kept you very hot so I had to ditch the leather jacket for a little bit. The Serpents didn't seem to mind, and I felt they still respected me, or acted like they did at meetings or ambushes. Which I was no longer allowed to go on any, due to Dad. He said he wasn't risking mine or his granddaughters health over any serial killer or north side scum. To make me feel better Betty usually stayed back with me while I dealt with mapping and communication if the situation called for it.
30 weeks:
I swear this kid was going to be the death of me, in five weeks I had grown tremendously and was now reduced to waddling. And with the extra weight and all those wonderful hormones making me insane my hands and feet started swelling. The only shoes I could fit my feet in where some random crocs I found laying around the house. I hated them at first but the more I'm forced to wear them the more they grew on me.
Doctors appointment: I waddled in followed by Betty, of all the things I hate about this pregnancy the waddle has to be the worst. Staying up all night to your baby kicking your insides is close though. We were called back soon enough and the one nurse I had got an attitude with was the one checking us out today. She started as always with the rapid fire. "Any contractions?" "What I believe are called Braxton Hicks hit me here and there but no actual contractions." "Any swelling." "My feet are really swollen, and my hands are swelled up a little." She looked at both my feet and hands and assured me that though it is a discomfort it's normal. "Physically?" "I hurt all the time, I had trouble sleeping, and I'm really tired," I said with a yawn. "He can also be a little moody at times," Betty chimed in. I gave her a look. "Mentally?" "Stressed," I said with a chuckle. She asked about movement and then we did all the tests, then the ultrasound. She had the little thing pointed way down at the bottom of my rounded stomach which had several stretch marks. "She's in the right position, but a few weeks early." Me and Betty both nod. "She looks healthy." I smile. We leave and me and Betty get home and we snuggle on our bed. I had pulled my shirt and beanie off because I was really sweaty, and Betty was rubbing my stomach and feeling where the baby was. Her and the nurse where the only one I really allowed to touch my stomach. The serpents and my friends knew me better than that.
