"Why do I feel like my life is becoming that Novela?" I exhaled sharply, already regretting my decision to go out with Noah Watson of all people.

What's done is done, I must commit. I quickly threw on a sky-blue tank top and bleached denim jeans with white ruffled heels. The stunning Waning Crescent Moon necklace Chris had given me on our honeymoon glittered beautifully under the fluorescent light of our bathroom. A sugary grin morphed on my lips as I took a few minutes to cherish such a meaningful gift – the token of Chris' love.

"Now let's make the biggest mistake of my life," I whispered sarcastically at my reflection in the mirror, then half-heartedly strolled to the front yard.

In spite of it being seven o'clock at night, the weather was quite warm as a cool breeze caused my skin to tingle. I focused on my footsteps whilst deep in thought, contemplating whether I should have heeded Chris' warning about spending time with Noah.

Speaking of the devil, I caught sight of him standing next to my car. He wore a black suit-shirt and red tie, accompanied by a navy-blue jacket and red stripped sneakers. He had skull patterns along both sides of his pants and a steel chain hanging below the belt. Fashion wise, the outfit was an unusual combination, but he still somehow pulled it off.

How the heck can one man be that good looking? His tall frame, masculine physique and breathtaking face. How? He's practically every woman's temptation to a gateway in Hell and it dawned on me that people would assume we are a couple.

I clearly did not think this through and how it may impact Chris. Noah raised his eyebrow at me inquisitively, a roguish smirk painted on his face. I shook my head profusely, realising that I had been directly staring at him for God knows how long.

"I know I'm unbelievably irresistible, but you can stop staring now," he teased, poking his tongue out slightly.

"I didn't see you looking away either."

"How could I when you look that sexy," he growled in a raspy tone, causing my heart to race as I rubbed my arm anxiously and averted my attention to the ground. He had such a strong influence on women, a sensual manly voice accompanied by his boyish good looks. I inhaled deeply, attempting to gain some composure.

"Anyways, we should get going," I murmured without confidence. He produced a killer smile, opening the passenger seat for me to hop in. I stared at him sceptically, indicating that I was not comfortable with him driving my car. It's more than likely that his licence has expired too, and I really didn't want to commit an offence.

His eyes intensely peered at me in a pleading manner. My gut advised that I should stand my ground and take the wheel, but my delusional mind was so caught up battling its inner demons that it forced me to go along with Noah's absurd indirect request. That said, I plonked myself on the front seat. He turned the ignition and accelerated to our destination.

We arrived at a small cinema in a secluded street. The building appeared quite old and unmaintained, it was easy to comprehend that the cinema wasn't popular nor busy. I briskly surveyed the area and realised that I hadn't been in this part of town. The surrounding houses were small units and dumpy apartments filled with what seemed to be lowlifes and druggies.

My body shook in fright as Noah snaked his arm around my waist and guided me to the entrance. A young usher boy greeted us with a friendly wave and produced a mechanical device which looked like a label printer.

"We have some terrific newly released movies so please enjoy." The usher boy smiled kindly, slowly ogling my appearance. I quickly sneaked a peak at Noah, noticing his jaw tighten and eyes glaring holes into the usher boy's head. He gave me a sneak preview of his aggressive side. I let out an awkward cough, hoping to break the tension.
