Started with a Dare • The Dare

I'm in my room doing my homework when I get a text from my best friend Christina, saying that she's throwing a party at her house sense her parents are out of town for the weekend. The party starts at around 6:00 pm tonight and it's only 4:34 pm but I didn't feel like going so I continued to do my homework. Only an hour goes by and I get another text from Christina, she asks if I'm going to her party I told her no but somehow I find myself getting ready to go to the party. I shower, do my hair, and pick out an outfit.

I kept my outfit casual and let my hair down, it was already 6 so I got my phone and went downstairs. I grabbed my keys and walked out to my car, I got in and drove to Christina's house. I got there and I could tell that a lot of people were already there. I parked my car and go inside, I look around for Christina and as I'm looking for her, I find the living room filled with people. I spot my crush in the room, Jack Avery. I smile as I admire his good-looking face, I walk away from the room with a smile on my face and continue looking for Christina. I eventually find her in the kitchen and go up to her.

You: Hey Tina

Christina: Hey, I see you decided to come

You: yea I have nothing else to do with my life so why not

Christina: did you see who's here?

You: who?

Christina: uh hello? Jack

You: oh yea I saw him in the living room

Christina: have you finally gotten the guts to tell him that you like him?

You: Tina, me and him don't even talk

Christina: so?

You: what do you mean so? he probably doesn't even know I exist

Christina: we could change that

You: what do you mean?

Christina: their playing truth or dare in there and maybe I could ask Corbyn to dare him to kiss you

You: no

Christina: yes

You: Tina no I'm not doing that ok? and you better not even try to do anything to get Jack to notice me ok?

Christina: I can't promise that but will you at least come and play I was about to go join

You: fine

Me and Christina go to the living room and sit with Corbyn, I feel a pair of eyes on me and I kinda felt uncomfortable. I look up and see Jack staring at me, I noticed that he looked away as soon as I looked up but I shook it off but then I thought, why would Jack Avery be staring at me?

Corbyn: Jack?

Jack: huh?

Corbyn: truth or dare?

Jack: uh dare I guess

Corbyn: dare you to go to the backyard and spend 10 minutes with y/n

You: ok hold on

Jack: 10 minutes with her?

You: you don't have to

Corbyn: yup

I give Christina a death glare and she smiles a bit

Jack: ok

Jack gets up and reaches for my hand, I'm too annoyed to even look at anyone so I get up and go to the backyard as Jack followed me. I sit on a huge rock that looks out at the city it was a great view, I feel Jack sit down next to me and wrap an arm around my waist.

You: ok what are you doing?

Jack: I'm doing the dare

You: no you- never mind

Jack:you're very beautiful

I felt my face turn red so I look down trying to hide it, he put his finger on my chin and lifts up my head to make me look at him. I didn't know what to do so I froze and stared into his beautiful brown eyes. I felt him look at my lips then back at my eyes he leaned in slowly and I felt my lips touch his as we were interrupted by someone jumping into the pool behind us. We both pulled away quickly and he took his arm away from my waist.

You: uhm I should get going

Jack: wait but-

You: bye Jack

I got up as quick as I could and went inside, as I head towards the door when I was stopped by Christina who was in the living room so everyone looked at me like. I froze when she called my name, I felt all eyes on me and one pair felt very familiar, Jack's eyes was one of the pairs of eyes on me.
