SOPHIA

PRESENT

"Que haces, niña?"

Beaming, I spun around to meet the brown eyes that made me weak to the knees. "Shopping!"

With a small grin, he shuffled to my side as he observed the rack of clothing I had hanging on my arm. "You're gonna buy all that?"

Squinting my eyes at him, I rammed the clothes to his chest and smiled. "I'm going to try them out but in the meantime, you can carry my stuff."

His eyes bulged out before trying to push the clothes back into my arms. "I can't be seen holding all this girly stuff. I'll look like your dumb boyfriend."

"What are you saying?" I lightly chuckled, ignoring his attempt of handing the clothes back to me. "You are my dumb boyfriend."

"Oye," he warned but that look never failing to make me giggle. "Do I really have to do this?"

"My past good boyfriend's have done it..." I teasingly said as I moved on to another section of clothing.

I noticed how his body when rigid and a smirk couldn't help but peak on my lips. Whenever I had the chance to tease the boy, I loved to. He was just so easy to provoke.

"I'd love to do this then." He said, hugging the clothes to his chest.

Throwing my head back in laughter, I tippy-toed to somewhat reach his height. "You're silly, baby. You're my first boyfriend or did you forget?"

"In that case, you can take these back," he said, forcing the clothes back to me.

"Then I guess I won't model any of these for you," I said before sticking my tongue out. "I came shopping with Rich last time and he didn't mind holding them. In fact, he offered to hold them."

It didn't take long before he took the pile of clothes away from me once more. I smiled in victory while I resumed my hunting for a good skirt. I knew Zabidel loved when I wore skirts so I started using them more. I already used them but I only had three pairs.

"Isn't that good girl Sophia?" A voice murmured behind my back but I didn't dare turn around.

"Can't be," another voice mockingly responded. "A girl like her wouldn't go near a guy like him. He's bad news; actual bad news."

Girls loved bad boys, they loved how daring and "unpredictable" they are. Of course, they don't actually like the real bad boys because they are genuinely bad. Zabdiel has history, I was aware, but he left it all behind. They always bad mouthed him, insulted him and judged without even knowing him and it irked me.

"Let's head to the changing room." I said with an awkward smile. "I think I'm done looking."

Leaving the two girls behind, Zabdiel kept quiet. This was something that bothered me about him. Whenever people made comments he would distance himself from me. He would stop talking and completely shut down on me and it broke me. I don't care what people say about him, I know he's changed and I know he won't do anything to hurt me.

"Apura," I huffed as I pulled him in the changing room with me which caught him by surprise.

"Sophie," he shakily mumbled. "I can't be in here with you."

"No one stopped you so I think it's fine." I replied. "I need for you to not shut down on me again."

His dark eyes set on mine and it immediately set my chest on fire. Despite him being very reserved his emotions were so transparent and pure, showing so clear in his eyes. The love in his eyes was something that made me feel special. It was kept me so secure and sure that he was truly good for me and that whatever other people said was meaningless.

"Perdóname, it makes me think."

"Think what?"

"Cosas sin importancia."

"Hey," I susurrate as I cupped his face in the palm of my hands. "Don't listen to them. I love you and whatever they say I know isn't true. They don't know you, they don't know us, they don't know anything, ok?"

With a small nod, Zabdiel pulled me in by the waist and smiled. "Te amo, Sophie."

"So..." he hummed before sitting on the mini bench inside the stall. "Are you going to model for me or what?"

More of a filler, sorry. I just need to get it going so I can actually get the plot started 😊
