SOPHIA

🌷

TWO WEEKS LATER

"I can't believe you've been sulking this whole week."

Sophia and Lola were in the cafeteria which wasn't too crowded. Their first week of college was coming to an end and the two girls were adapting quickly. It was probably safe to say that Sophia adapted much faster than Lola since Lola had a tiny problem. Joel didn't get accepted to the same college. Hence, why Sophia was impressed by Lola's longest sulking in the world's history.

"I miss being with him. It feels weird being in school without him here. You never felt that because Zabdiel wasn't even with us in high school."

"Wasn't I lucky? Now, look at me," Sophia mumbled with a hint of annoyance lacing her tone. "He's here."

Lola snickered, "yeah. I wouldn't want to be you right now. On the bright side, there is a new boy that can help with that."

"Help with what?"

"Make you forget Zabdiel... make Zabdiel jealous and regret the moment his dumbass cheated on you."

"If you are talking about Joshua then-"

"Then nothing. That man is fine. And yes, that man because he looks very masculine that if I wasn't with Joel I would act out the moment you introduced me to him."

"Jesus, Lola," Sophia laughed in shock. "Maybe stay away from Joshua."

"Damn, ok Sophie! Yes girl, mark that territory!"

"You're annoying," Sophia mumbled. "Do you have another class after this?"

Lola exhaled quietly and nodded. "Economy. Remind me again why I'm going into business?"

"Isn't it only an hour and a half? It'll go by fairly quick I'm sure."

"What about you? Wasn't this your last class?"

"Yup. We have an essay due next week for psychology. I wanna get ahead so I'll be doing that."

"Lucky," Lola whined as she began to gather her stuff. "You get to go home."

Sophia scoffed, staring at Lola with fake pity. "Poor you and no, I'm not going home. I'm going to a cafe with Jo-, with just myself. It's almost noon and this place is gonna get loud. Anyway, uh, you should get going."

Lola gasped and let out an evil and exaggerated laugh. "I want to watch everything unfold before my eyes and tell you I told you so. You are so gonna–"

"Sophie, hi."

"Hell no," Lola muttered under her breath. "What do you want?"

Zabdiel didn't even give Lola the time of day because he could only look at Sophia– who was far prettier than usual today.

"Did you eat already?"

"No... I only came here to be with Lola before she went to class."
