SOPHIA
🥀
Sophia was never one to cause a scene. Everyone around her always told her that even when she reached her boiling point, she remained calm. Her mother would always tell her that giving that person a reaction would satisfy them and that she'd gain nothing from it. But how can she not make a scene when that's all her body was telling her to do? How could she bite back her tongue and hold back her fists? As she stared at the man she thought she loved, her hands itched. She clenched her fists so tightly, she felt her hands shake from all the pressure. Zadbiel studied her face but it was more than obvious how upset Sophia was.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled.
"Stop saying sorry," Sophia snapped bitterly. "It's losing it's meaning the more you say it."
"I'll keep apologizing until you can forgive me. These days have shown me that I don't wanna lose you. I will wait for you."
Instead of melting at his words like a naive and stupid girl, Sophia shot up from her seat with raging anger inside her. "You can wait sitting down then."
At that moment, Sophia didn't care if she got lost. She had to get away from Zabdiel and for good. She didn't bother to look back despite Zabdiel calling out for her, instead, she began to walk faster toward the exit. As she was about to push the door, the door flung open and her hands went straight to a stranger's chest.
"Sorry," she muttered but kept her eyes down and kept moving forward.
Sophia fumbled with her bag in order to find her car keys but her eyes were being anything but helpful. She was well aware that people would start to question her sanity if she actually began to cry and fight with her bag so she stopped walking and tried to calmly search for her keys.
However, she instantly regretted the moment she felt a hand grip her wrist. I should've just looked like a crazy person...
"Let go of me," she lowly warned through gritted teeth.
"Please give me another chance, Sophie. I won't let you down this time."
For her own sake, Sophia yanked her wrist away but maintained a relaxed composure. They were basically in between buildings with windows and students walking around. She didn't want to be remembered as the new high school graduate with relationship dramas.
"You're going to be a father..." Sophie bitterly stated as she tried to keep her voice down. "and you want me to be with you? What about Janella?"
"I don't care about her, you know I don't."
"But your baby, Zabdiel!" She whisper-yelled. "You can't just leave her!"
"Lo se," he replied weakly. "I'll care for that baby but that doesn't mean I have to be with Janella. Sophie, yo solo te quiero a ti."
"No, you don't so stop saying that already."
"But it's the truth-"
"No!" Sophia said in a sudden outburst but recomposed herself in embarrassment. "No, you don't. If you truly did you wouldn't have cheated."
