Glancing down at my watch somewhat nervously,
I entered the club room.

Due to having received another lecture from the teacher about sleeping during class,
I was about fifteen minutes late to our practice session today.

A furious Mako greeted me
as soon as I opened the sliding door.

"Took you long enough, Kai-kai!"

Her angry voice pierced
the air.

"Remember that you're our main guitarist!

How are we supposed to start without you?"

Frustrated,
she began to pound
her drums with her fists.

"Calm down for a minute, Mako..."

Mitsunari pleaded,
though his eyes
looked my way accusingly.

"Well, that's not to say
you're in the clear, Kaito..."

"I know..."

I mumbled in resignation.

"Watch the attitude, mister!"

Mako flipped her drumsticks over
and pointed them towards me.
A menacing aura exuded from her eyes.

"You're not the only one with
worries in this world.

If you don't show up,
we're the ones who'll be troubled."

"...sorry."

Not in the mood to argue,
I uttered out a half-hearted apology.

"Good grief..."

Perhaps sensing some of my reluctance to continue,
Mako decided not to press the matter.

"Well, at least we've gotten that out of the way."

She affirmed
before inching closer to me.

"So,

how about you tell us
whatever happened with 'Princess Ichinomiya?'"
