//DISCOVERIES\\

Two months in and things were still falling apart.

Pepper had pulled Lucas out of school, his temper was getting the best of him and he was ending up in fights he couldn't win.

Lydia had continued to grow distant, so much she barley talked to her own brother anymore.

Nonetheless they still spent time together, even if they didn't talk.

The twins were sitting on the couch watching Phineas and Ferb. It brought both of them back to the last day they saw Tony, and while it provided them with a sense of comfort, dread also filled in the pits of their stomach as they remember him and what had happened the next day.

Not being able to bring herself to watch it anymore, Lydia stands from the couch and begins to walk towards her room.

However, on her way her leg bumps into a small table causing a picture to fall off. It lands face down, the glass scattering around it which makes Lydia jump back and let out a yelp of surprise.

Luca peers over the couch at the sudden noise and speaks to J.A.R.V.I.S. when he notices the mess. "J.A.R.V.I.S., tell mom we need her."

"Right away." The AI replies.

Lydia looks over to her brother as if to say 'oops' before bending down and carefully picking up the picture frame.

When she stares at the oicture her expression falls.

Lucas stands up from the couch and walks closer to get a better look at the picture that his sister had destroyed.

Anger flares within him the moment his eyes land on the picture.

It was a precious one, something they had to hide every time they had guests. It was a picture that Pepper had taken a few years ago. The twins were young, about 6 or 7 and they sat in Tony's garage as he taught them how to change a headlight.

The two twins were leaning over his Tesla Roadster as he pointed at something in the engine. They were all smiling even though they were covered in grease from head to toe.

Lydia looks up to her brother in sorrow but her brows twist in confusion at her brother's reaction.

"What?" She asks, oblivious to his growing anger.

"What the hell Lyd?" He asks through gritted teeth.

Lydia sets the picture frame back down and stands up, disbelif crossing her face as she places her hands on her hips "It was an accident, what do you mean 'what the hell'?"

"How could you be so clumsy and stupid?" Lucas clenches his fists.

Lydia scoffs, "I just bumped into it and the picture fell, it was an accident why are you overreacting."

Lucas throws his hands in the air as if giving up, he walks a few steps away from the broken glass and Lydia follows him. "I'm not overreacting!" He practically screams. "You destroyed one of the only pictures we had with dad! Of course i'm going to be upset! We may never have a chance to get new pictures with him so-"

Lydia throws her hand up, interupting her twin by saying "Whoa, way to have hope, good job at being positive!" The sarcasm drips from her voice like a waterfall.

"Don't tell me you don't think it too!" Lucas takes a few steps towards her.

The two twins are only centimetres apart, both fuming with anger.

"No!" Lydia fires back, "I don't think that because I actually want him to come home."

Lucas' eyes burn with anger, a fire dancing inside his eyes as he brings up his hands and gives his sister a slight push.

Her jaw drops, surprised he would even touch her like that, and so she pushes him back with a little more force than necessary.

This only fuels the fire in their eyes.

In sync they bring up their heads, making a move to push each other by the shoulders.

As they make contact with one another the fire of anger around them seems to explode in a fit of light.

Bright green blinds their vision as it surrounds them and an invisible force sends them stunbling to the ground.

When the light dies down they allow their eyes to adjust.

Both twins sit on the floor but something is very wrong.

Lucas stares at Lydia and Lydia stares at Lucas.

Surrounding them seems to be a sort of green glow.

Lydia tenses at the sensation crawling over her skin, she feels hot but it seems as if it's a comfortable hot.

She looks down at her hands, her vision seemingly glitching as she stares at them. They produce a bright green around them and her eyes follow it up her arms and down her legs and she looks over at her brother in horror.

However, Lucas appears to be in the same boat. A hot green fire surrounds his body and when he looks towards his sister he noticed the same.

He looks into her eyes. The whites of them having disappeared and it seeming as if someone replaced them with two glowing emeralds.

Green glitches in his vision as he begins to panic. He can only imagine that his eyes have been replaced with the same glowing aurora as his sisters.

They look at each other stunned.

It's as if they're engulfed in an eternal flame that seems to never stop burning.

What the hell? Lucas finds himself thinking.

Lydia's head seems to snap to his attention, her mouth hanging out.

The next thought to cross his mind doesn't seem to come from him.

A soft female voice fills his mind and he can only fathom one reason.

What the hell indeed. His sister voices, although her mouth doesn't move to form words, instead, it's as if she's speaking through his head.

The familiar sound of heels fill the room but come to an abrubt stop within seconds.

It's at that moment that Peppers panicked voice screams through the room.

"What the fu-"
