//HARD WORKERS\\
The trio had stayed up all night working on the suit.
Tony had said "Screw school." and mentioned that he would call in the morning to take them out of school permanently, effective immediately.
He claimed that he could teach them all they needed to know.
They had spent the night building and testing different parts of the suit. The twins had watched Tony launch himself into a wall, which had become the highlight of the night. Tony letting them try coffee was a close second.
Pepper had come down around 5am which led to a big argument and eventually her stomping back upstairs.
Long story short, the twins were officially taken out of school.
They had just finished putting together a part of the suit and they were excited to show Pepper. They had brought her back down early in the morning while assuring her that she would love it and it was completely safe.
Pepper comes down carrying a box and a mug. "I've been buzzing, did you hear the intercom?"
"Yeah, but we buzzed first." Tony replies.
Lucas tightens a bolt on the contraption around Tony's arm before he turns to look up at his adoptive mother. "We have something to show you."
"Have you kids slept at all?" She asks, setting down the things in her hand.
"Nope." Lydia smiles excitingly. "We stayed up all night!"
They watch as Pepper shoots Tony a look and they have another silent fight until Lucas breaks them out of it. "Can we show you?" He asks.
Pepper sighs. "Quickly, Obadiah's upstairs."
"Great, i'll be up right after this." Tony picks his arm up, holding the contraption out.
"I thought you said you were done making weapons?" Pepper asks.
Tony holds his hand out away from the group, "It isn't. This is a flight stabilizer. It's completely harmless."
He looks over to Lydia, "You do the honours, kid."
She smiles and reaches out to push the button on the table.
Her and Lucas take a few steps back as Tony's contraption begins to charge up. The light on his chest increases it's brightness along with the light attached to his palm.
A bright beam shoots from his hand, making a loud noise and throwing him backwards simultaneously. Everybody covers their ears and turns their backs as Tony crashes into things and the beam rips through whatever is in its path.
When the noises die down, the twins turn around to find Tony on the floor surrounded by random medal. "I didn't expect that." He says defensively. Pepper turns around fuming, "Get upstairs." She tells him, before turning away, grabbing her things and stomping up the stairs.
When she reaches the door she turns back around, "Kids you stay down here, we can't have Obadiah seeing you."
Lydia and Lucas both nod and walk over to help Tony stand.
"I can trust you two to tinker with this and not blow anything up while i'm gone, right?" The twins nod eagerly.
Tony brushes himself off, heads over to the table and unclips the stabilizer. "I want you guys to work on adding more levels of power to this, something where it's not as strong to throw me like a football, understand?"
