//WE DON'T REGRET IT\\

The twins sit silently on the jet as it brings them back home to New York. Pepper sits in one of the chairs listening to a news broadcast while Tony's off somewhere in the plane.

Neither of them have said a word since Pepper and Tony boarded back onto the ship, and neither parent had said a single thing to them either.

They knew they were in for a big lecture filled with lots of yelling and punishments, but they weren't going to make the first move.

Because while they may have exposed themselves slightly to the world, they weren't sorry at all. They helped their dad and it was worth every second of the risk.

"It's just unbelievable." The senator says on the tv. "It proves that the genies out of the bottle and this man has no idea what he's doing."

Despite wanting to scream at the tv, Lydia stays silent and keeps her nose stuck in the book she's reading while Lucas attempts to braid her hair, failing each time.

"He thinks of the Iron Man weapon as a toy. I was at a hearing where Mr. Stark, in fact, was adamant that these suits can't exist anywhere else, don't exist anywhere else, never will exist anywhere else, at least for five to 10 years, and here we are in Monaco realizing 'Uh oh, these suits exist now'. And we haven't even got on the topic of whatever new suits he just introduced to the world too! It looked like children were operating them!"

"Mute." The new voice in the room causes both Lydia and Lucas to look up at Tony as he stands in the doorway.

The good news, as far as the twins knew, was that nobody knew who they were. But there were a lot of questions flying around that Tony and Pepper would eventually have to answer.

Tony holds two water bottles and a covered tray, no doubt with some food in it.

He tosses the two bottles of water to the twins who smile in return but stay silent, then he sits down across from Pepper and puts the tray on a table.

Lydia puts down her book, sitting up straight while Lucas lets go of her hair and opens his water bottle.

Both listen in on the adults conversation.

"He should be giving me a medal. That's the truth." Tony says.

He takes utensils out of his pocket and struggles to balance them on the small table.

"What is that?" Pepper asks, referring to the tray Tony brought out.

"This is your in-flight meal." Tony takes the cover off. The twins can't see what he made but judging by the look on Pepper's face they assume it doesn't look very good.

"Did you just make that?" She asks.

"Yeah. Where do you think i've been for three hours."

Lydia takes a sip of her water to avoid laughing at him.

"Tony," Pepper sighs. "what are you not telling me?"

The twins both sit a little straighter at this. Tony hadn't told them many secrets that Pepper didn't know. Other than his friend with palladium poisoning, or maybe Pepper already knew about that.

Whatever secret Tony was about to spill would be new to all three.

It's silent for a moment while Tony just stares at Pepper.

"I don't want to go home."

The twins tilt their heads. That was his big secret?

"At all. Let's cancel my birthday party and, uh, and we're in Europe. Let's go to Venice, Cipriani. Remember?"
