//WELCOME HOME\\
For the first time in three months the Stark house was buzzing with joy. Smiles were seen from all around.
Happy, Pepper, Lydia, Lucas; they were all happy.
The twins sat on the couch in the living room. Their knees bounced as they anxiously played a game of Sorry while awaiting the arrival of their dad.
He had just finished his live press conference.
"Effective immediately, I am shutting down the weapons manufacturing devision of Stark International."
That had confused the two, it was the last thing they expected him to say. He did seem different though, he had seemed less like himself when they saw him on that screen and they concluded that whatever had happened to him changed him greatly.
The two continue to play their game as the sun sets against the large window.
It's almost fully dark by the time the front door opens and J.A.R.V.I.S.'s voice fills the room.
"Welcome back, Mr. Stark." The children perk up at the mention of their father, peering over the couch to get a better look at the figure walking through the door.
The person walking through the door is none other than Tony Stark, who replies "Hey J.A.R.V.I.S., I need a favour."
Lydia looks over to Lucas who holds a smile identical to her own. The current game of Sorry is forgotten the moment the billionaire's eyes land on them and they smile.
Tony loses his train of thought, his previous task forgotten and a smile is placed on his face as he says "Hey kids."
Lucas and Lydia take a moment to take in Tony's appearance. His hair is a jostled mess and his suit jacket hangs over his right arm which is placed in a sling. But his smile still shines bright.
Without a word the two are running towards him and throwing their arms around him as he bends to meet them halfway.
Lydia tries not to hug too hard in hopes she won't hurt his arm but she cannot stop the tears of joy that spring to her eyes as Tony whispers in their ears. "I missed you guys."
Lucas looks behind Tony to see a smiling Pepper. Her bloodshot eyes are surrounded by a red and puffy ring and he can tell she had been crying as much as the twins have.
"You stopped your company from making weapons?" Lucas's voice fills the air.
Lucas tenses for a moment. It's the first time he's seen his dad in months and that's the first thing he decides to say to him?
Stupid.
Nonetheless, the two pull away from the hug and stare expectantly at their father.
He stands up, grunting and stretching his limbs. "It's time to start over," he tells them. "I want to turn over a new leaf and do better than I have been."
The twins smile at this, somehow knowing that he's talking about more than just his weapons.
Lydia beams suddenly. "We have something to show you!" She squeals.
