Twenty armed soldiers poured into the room.

"Stop them!" called the man in front.

They pulled crossbows off of their backs and fired. Acyan was doing a great job avoiding the shots. The man in front seemed to sneer from beneath his mask as he pulled out his own crossbow. The bolt whizzed through the air, making a high pitched screaming sound as it neared. Acyan jumped to dodge it, making a hissing sound as his landed and continued racing for the exit. I glanced down to realize the bolt had met it's mark. We barreled out of the window.

A flash of red passed us, accompanied by a wave of heat. I turn back and watched as the bottom of the tree palace burst into flames, the fire spreading faster then anything I've ever seen. The Queens flew around the dark smoke causing it to disperse.

"I need to land." Acyan grunted.

"Go ahead, we're far enough. I'll see what I can do for your leg." I said.

We landed near a small creak. Acyan took a quick drink as I washed up.

"Okay, I have to pull out the bolt." I said, shaking my hands dry.

Acyan nodded and turned his attention to some water now  floating in front of him changing shape. I gently eased the bolt out enough to get a hold. After the third try, it pulled free. Acyan gasped, the water falling to the ground with a thunk. It was solid? Strange.

"Take that. So you remember this." He said, pain lacing his voice.

I stowed the pendent away in my pocket and got to work cleaning the wound. I used to hang around Hashie a lot, so I knew basic first aid. As I wiped my hands over the wound a blinding golden light flashed. I could feel the energy being drained from my body. Everything became dark a quiet until voices breached the silence.

"What happened?" one said.

"I don't know. She used the ancient healing powers of the fire royals." Said, what sounded to be, Acyan.

"She did WHAT?!" bellowed a deeper voice.

The smell of smoke engulfed me, but was gone in an instant.

"Calm yourself Lucan. We can-" she was cut off.

"No, Aquana! That healing magic should only be in the blood of the royal fire elementals. We must kill her before she tells everyone!" Lucan shouted.

"Calm down. Lucan she is a royal. She lives as King Vancin's daughter. As she is also a fire elemental as well as the rest of the elements." Said a softer voice.

"As always Macoma, you are correct. Vancin is her father, but alas not biologically. " Lucan said, sounding calmer.

"Hm, Vancin is a good elf. My favorite king. He's quite powerful as well." Aquana said.

"He's wise, too. He takes good care of my elven friends." Macoma commented .

"Yes, he has. Anyway, Acyan take her back to the clearing." Aquana ordered.

"Yes, your Majesty." Acyan answered.

I felt my body get scooped up before I truly passed out.

Welp that's the next chapter. Sorry it took so long. I actually don't have Internet at home or data. Sorry!
