Below us, other pegasi grazed. Just over the horizon, a large tree shinned in the sun, Acyan flew towards it. He landed behind a large group of pegasi of different colors.
Acyan snorted and the noise died down a bit as a path was cleared for us to walk. I slipped off his back, and walked closely behind him. I stared in wonder at all the different breeds and colors of the winged horses. Red, blue, green, white, purple, black, and more. At that point we were nearing the front of the crowd.
As we stepped in front of the crowd, all kinds of fragrances exploded in my nose. I could only clearly decipher two smells. Woodsmoke and sea salt.
Four pegasi stood in front of us. In the middle of the creatures, was a very majestic sea blue pegasus. Her long sea green mane made her coral colored eyes pop. She had colorful seashells clipped to her mane and tail. The pearls draped around her neck, glinted in the warm sun. Around her hooves, sea foam rose from the ground, sinking into the dirt. A coral crown sat on her head. I assumed the obvious, she was a water pegasus.
On her left, there was a red pegasus. His- I wasn't very sure how I could tell their genders. They had different builds from the plant and earth pegasi at home. There was just a tugging in my gut pulling me the right direction.
Anyway, his mane was bright yellow. Flames danced around his head in a crown shape. His mane and tail were dotted with ashes but, they didn't look dirty. Smoke bellowed around his hooves, flames sparking every once and awhile. Everywhere he stepped the ground lit yet, the fire never spread.
On the other side stood a green winged horse with pale pink eyes and a mint green mane. Wrapped around her ears were vines that held a flower with petals of every color. Her brown hooves were wrapped in vines, that went up her knees, blooming colorful flowers. She kept trotting over to the fire pegasus, flowers growing in her wake, and whispering something in his ear. He just snorted. She stamped her foot and the dead patches of grass regrew, better, maybe even greener, than before. She then went back to her spot on the right side of the water pegasus.
The red one seemed to try to step forward but, was unable. He looked up and glared. I followed his gaze. In the tree was yet another pegasus. This one was white with snowy white hair. He had snowflakes and raindrops spinning around his body. I squinted and looked directly into his eyes, they were white as well, almost translucent, as if he were blind. He seemed to chuckle at the fire pegasus's struggle and eventually freed him of whatever grasped him before.
The blue one stepped forward.
