You couldn't believe him. He left. He left you, for Merle of all people. You understood that Merle was his blood, but it still hurt. He avoids you for two weeks, then he straight up leaves you. You weren't there to see him off because you were stuck in your cell.

Rick wouldn't let you go anywhere but down to the cafeteria, and to the bathroom. You felt so useless in there. It was like you were an actual prisoner.

Sad, alone, hungry...

Maggie never came to talk to you anymore. Beth and Carl were to busy with Judith. Carol was still resting.

Nobody gave a shit about you anymore. You knew it was selfish to think that, but you were an emotional, hormonal, bitch right now.

"(Y/N), Daryl's back," Rick came into your cell, bloody and sweaty.

You wanted to jump up right this second to go see him, but he probably wouldn't want to see you.

"Okay."

"Do you want me to get him?"

"No." Yes.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." No.

After your response, he left you alone with your thoughts, again.

Daryl hardly ever saw you, so he didn't know you were pregnant. You told Rick not to tell him because Daryl should be able to figure it out on his own, if he ever came to see you.

"(Y/N)," Daryl walked in with Merle shortly behind him. You scoffed and looked at the wall in front of you.

"What."

"I'm sorry, I had to go. Merle's my brother. You understand, right?"

"Yeah, whatever." You crossed your arms over your stomach, that was starting to show already.

"(Y/N), I know I should of come back, taken you with me, but I couldn't bring Merle. We had to go. But I'm here now," He said holding your hand.

"Who said I'd go with you?" You snatched your hand away with tears in your eyes. "I would never leave my family. These people - our friends, I would never leave them. Plus, I wouldn't want to go with you after you just started avoiding me. I tell you I love you and you just ignore me? Do you know how much it hurt when Rick came into my cell and told me you had left? Fuck, I thought I'd never see you again! What if you didn't come back?! I can't raise a child on my own. Especially now, in this world..." You got up and pushed past Daryl and Merle.

--

"(Y/N), just go apologize to him," Rick said from in front of you.

"Excuse me?" You stared at Rick in disbelief.

"This has gone for far too long. I just want you two to be happy again," He patted your arm and walked outside to the field.

You walked over to the guard tower. Nobody was there yet, so it gave you some time alone to think.

You sat on the floor and fiddled with the sniper rifle in your hands. Getting up, you looked outside. There were walkers surrounding the fence. Glenn was on fence duty, Rick was tending to the crops, and Daryl was out talking to Merle.

Maggie showed up behind you. "Hey, it's my turn to take watch," She said.

"Yeah, I'll get going then," You started to climb back down but she grabbed your arm. "Wait, why don't you stay here. We haven't really gotten a chance to talk lately."

You shrugged and sat down next to her. "There's not anything to talk about," You said simply.

"That's bullshit. There's a lot we could talk about. Like what happened between you and-"

"I don't wanna talk about him."

"Fine."

There was an awkward silence left in the room. You rubbed your stomach and got up. "I'm gonna go eat something."

She didn't say anything in return.

--

The cell door was slammed open and Daryl walked in with his head hung low. He sat down on the bed and looked up, there were tears on his face.

"Daryl, what's wrong?" You reached down towards his face wiping the tears away.

"He's dead."

"What, who?"

"Merle, he's dead."

Your eyes widened and you pulled him into a tight embrace. "I'm sorry."

He didn't say anything, but he hugged you tighter sobbing quietly.

After a few minutes, he stopped crying and looked up at you again. "I'm sorry, (Y/N)..."

"For what?"

"For leavin' you. For ignoring you. For everythin'," He said pulling you down next to him.

"It's okay," You said smiling.

"I do love you," He said adverting his gaze to the wall.

You smiled and hugged him closer.

"I've never done this before, but I found it on my way back," He dug into his pocket and pulled out a silver ring.

You gasped and looked him in the eye. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah," He gave you a small smile, and got off the bed. He kneeled down in front of you putting the ring in front of you. "Marry me?" He had a small blush on his face as you kissed him.

"That a yes?"

"Yeah," You replied with happiness written all over your face.

--

You coughed and sat up. You were next to an unconscious Glenn. There were walkers below you.

"Glenn, Glenn wake up!" You shook his shoulders.

The governor had come in with a tank and people. He shot up the place. He killed his own people. You don't know what happened to everyone else, but you were only worried about Glenn right now. He didn't want to wake up.

"Glenn, please wake up!" There were tears in your eyes. He gasped and his eyes shot open. "Glenn, they're gone..." He looked confused.

"What?" When he looked down his eyes widen. "What are you doing here? I thought you got out on the bus?"

"No, Maggie ran after you. I couldn't find her. Did you see Daryl, is he okay?" You shook your head in your hands.

"I saw him blow up the tank, I didn't see him after that though." He hugged you.

"Come on let's get out of here." He pulled you up.

You hoped that they're okay...
