Alexandria. The man named Aaron said it was safe. He even had pictures to prove it. You really didn't want to believe it, but he didn't seem like the type of person who would lie to a bunch of strangers, who could easily kill him if they needed too. And, he did show a lot of evidence to prove that the place was real.

"We can handle ourselves. So that's what we're gonna do," Michonne said to Rick.

"Then I will, too. I'll go," Glenn looked at Rick nodding.

"Abraham. (Y/N)," You handed Alec to Daryl as you grabbed your gun.

"Yeah. We'll walk with them."

"Rosita," Rick said.

"Okay," She nodded.

"If there's trouble, you got enough firepower?" Rick walked over to Glenn.

"We got what we got." Rick handed Glenn his gun.

"The walkies are out of juices. If you're not back in 60 minutes, we'll come. Which might be just what they want."

Michonne nodded at Rick as you all walked out.

--

"He was telling the truth."

You stepped over a fallen tree and headed over to the two vehicles. There was a snap of a twig to your left and readied your gun.

"Not one step closer asshole!" Glenn yelled.

You held your breath awaiting the moment that someone reveals themselves from the bushes.

It was just a walker.

"I got 'em," You said. You pushed the walker to the ground and stomped its face in with your boot.

Another one came out and you pulled out your knife, stabbing it in its skull.

Abraham and Rosita went into the RV. When they came back out they had cans of food in their hands.

You smiled and pulled your bag from off your shoulder and handed to them.

If these people had food at their community, then they wouldn't mind you taking the food in their RV.

--

The car was painted red with blood after you drove threw the herd of walkers.

Apparently, this guy had been listening to your conversations as well. His people could know your plan.

"They're gone!" You yelled out to Rick.

"We'll circle back, find them." You jumped off the roof of the car and sat back down in the driver's seat.

Glenn got in next to you after wiping the windshield so you could see.

"All right we can take a left a couple miles up 23. Jefferson Avenue." Rick said from behind you.

"Jefferson Avenue, okay."

"We gotta get out of here," Aaron said from next to Michonne and Rick.

"C'mon..." You tried to start the engine.

Michonne got out and started pulling walker limbs out from the hood of the car.

"Fuck, come on!" You cursed.

You looked up and there was a red flare shooting into the sky.

You got out and chased after Aaron after he kicked the door open.

"(Y/N)!" You heard your friends yelling behind you, but you ignored them and chased after the man.

"Hey, wait up. You don't have a weapon and you're tied up. You're gonna die out here!" You got cornered and had to shoot down at least ten walkers.

One landed on top of you. You felt its teeth barely graze the skin on your neck before you threw it against a rock and shot it. When you got up panting you saw Aaron next to you trying to fight off a walker who had him pinned to a tree.

Rolling your eyes, you shot the walker and tried wiping off all the blood on your face. You cut Aaron free and started to walk away.

"Run if you want. I got other things to worry about."

"We can make it together. But we can only make it together. You said that. I was listening."

--

You and Aaron shot down the remaining walkers that were attacking Glenn, Michonne, and Rick.

"If you really want to tie me up again, that's fine, but hurry up." Aaron dropped his gun to the floor.

"There's no time. We're going that way." Rick said picking up the gun.

--

"(Y/N)." You turned around and looked out the gate.

You aimed your gun and shot the walker before the gates closed. When you turned around Aaron and the guy you just met, Nicholas, we're staring at you with their brows raised.

"What?" You stood next to Daryl who was carrying Alec.

"Nothing. Let's go, I'll show everyone around while Rick talks to Deanna."

--

You hesitated to give away your guns. What if something happened? You had four firearms on you. There was a sniper rifle slung around your shoulder, a handgun in a holster on your leg, and a submachine gun strapped to your back. You had another handgun hidden under your shirt. Nobody knew about it and you planned for it to stay that way.

When it was your turn to place your guns in the bin, the inventory manager, Olivia, narrowed her eyes at you. "Sure got a lot of weapons for a small woman like you," She said laughing.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" You glared as you put your last gun in the bin.

"Oh, I didn't mean it like that! I'm sorry." She smiled at you.

"They're still your guns. You can check them out whenever you go beyond the wall. But inside here, we store them for safety," Deanna said.

You rolled your eyes and walked back over to Daryl picking up Alec from his arms.

He was fully awake now and staring at his surroundings with curiosity.

"Hey baby, you have a nice nap?" You kissed his cheek.

He giggled and grabbed onto your ear.

"Should have brought another bin," Olivia said pulling the bin filled with guns, away.

--

"Daryl?" You fed Alec another spoon of applesauce as you sat down on the porch next to Daryl.

"Yeah?" He was cleaning his crossbow as he answered you.

"Do you really think this place is safe? We've been to more than five different places since this all started, and they've all ended the same way."

"I've gotta believe it's safe. For you and him," He nodded at the happy baby on your lap.

You nodded and kissed his cheek. "Hey, do you want me to get Carol to watch Alec? We can take a shower together." You whispered into his ear, and he nodded quickly.

Chuckling, you stood up and walked into the house in search of your friend.
