Tracey's Point of View

I thought he was joking but then I realized he had the most serious look ever.

I smiled, "You dummy."

We hugged and he said, "I know I am but you're the bigger dummy for losing track of time."

I looked on my phone and lunch was about to end.

"Oh shit!!" I said, slapping myself.

"Mhm. Now we gotta hurry" Daniel said, starting to run off.

I ran up to his speed and we were jogging back to school, "Wait what about Jonah and Zach?"

"Call Jonah."

I called Jonah and it took a couple minutes to answer but he did.

"Tracey?"

"No time to explain, look at the time and you'll understand. YOU'RE WELCOME!!" I said hanging up and running with Daniel back to Faraday.

We arrived at the school just in time.

As soon as we reached the gate we were huffing and puffing.

When we finally got our breath back, we looked at each other smiling then dying of laughter for some reason.

I'm so glad to have Daniel by my side.

For the rest of the day, I spent it with Daniel. I tried to avoid Zach as much as possible.

Daniel even walked me home because he was worried Zach would follow or something.

"Thanks for everything Dani" I said, facing him as we arrived at my house.

"Of course" He said.

Then it got awkward.

We were both about to say something but I just closed my mouth and let him speak.

"Well see you tomorrow.." He said.

"See you."

I walked inside and there was Jack and Rose again.

"I'm not even surprised anymore" I said, slouching on the couch next to them.

"Jonah told us" Jack said.

"Dammit Jonah" I said.

"You okay..?" Rose asked.

"Rose I'm fine. It's not the first time I've got my heart broken, and you know that, so I'm used to this by now. Plus Daniel cheered me up a lot."

"Okay.." Rose said.

"Well Trace, Rose and I just wanted to know if you were okay and now we have to get going" Jack said, eying Rose.

Rose weirdly looked at Jack then agreed with him.

And so they left and I was still slouched on the couch.
