Tracey's Point of View

I am currently at Centerville High School, it's an hour away from where I live.

I decided to go to these Basketball tryouts because Why not? I love basketball, I have a huge passion for it, and I have nothing else to do.

Let's just hope this league doesn't last all Summer.

Zachy 😍😂
where are you ??

shoot i forgot to tell Zach about this.

me
i'll call u later and fill u in on whats going on when this is over, don't worry I'm fine!

"Hello ladies and gents, I am Coach Johnson, the head of Lightning. You are here today because you were either here last year or chosen, and when I say chosen you're special. You're talented in this very sport. We've seen you play and you play with a passion." Coach Johnson said, walking back and forth.

There were rows of kids my age in basketball equipment. This thing really is legit.

"There are only 3 specific teams in Lightning, which means only 45 of you will make it. Yellow is the first team, Grey is the second, and black being third. Black is the top team, more advanced, more fast, you WANT to get on that team. Grey is in the middle, not too fast not too slow. And yellow you get process by now, it's not the lowest but it's more slower taught. It's not bad to be on the Yellow or Grey teams, we made Lightning to help passionate players become better than they already are. Also, boys and girls are on different teams." Coach continued.

Then we started the real work.

We stretched first and ran a couple laps, then practiced shooting.

The coaches split us into groups and divided us in the other gyms. There, we played multiple scrimmages.

-

Two hours passed of continuous basketball and we were lined up in rows again. They announced who was in the yellow team and grey team and I still wasn't chosen, did I even make the cut? This league is too legit.

"Lastly the black team, congratulations Savannah, Alyssa, Carmela, Rebecca, Shaniah, Tracey, Naveah, Michelle, Marianna, Miley, Deanna, Riley, Darlene, Liana, and Suzanna!"

holy shit!! how the hell did I make it?!

The other girls on my team and I made our way over to Coach.

"Congratulations girls! You girls caught my attention most. You clearly play with a huge passion." Coach announced.

I looked around at the other girls and they were smiling like I was.

Coach let us pick any number, of course I picked 17.

Practices were every Mondays and Thursdays, games on Saturdays. We didn't get exact schedules yet but he's telling us on Monday.

Wow this is so exciting, can't wait to tell everyone.

"Congrats! I'm so proud of you" Zach said.

I was on call with Zach and I told him everything about today.

"Yeah thank-"

"What happened?" Zach asked.

"I'll call you back, Rose is calling, it's important she texted me" I said.

"Oh it's good" He hung up.

I answered Rose, "Wassupp."

"I should've told you this sooner" Rose said in a serious tone.

"You're scaring me, spill" I said.

"The reason why Jack and I had an argument" She said.

I was quiet, waiting for her to go on.

"He's been keeping this a secret this whole time and so has Zach and all of the rest of the boys. They're going on tour for all of Summer, meaning we won't see them one bit. I would've been supportive but he kept it from me for the longest time. He's not gonna be home till Senior year starts and we had an argument about that. Apparently Jack said he's not good with online relationships." Rose explained.

My jaw dropped.

I was speechless.

Zach didn't even tell me about this?

This is why Corbyns been avoiding me.

I bet Christina knows already.

While Rose and I were completely clueless this whole time.

I hung up on Rose.

I need some time to think about some things.

I need to confront Zach and the boys on Monday.

-

tea.

I'm having bad friendship problems at school, crush problems too and everythings stressful. this is sorta why I haven't been updating, also its because ive been focusing on school work, editing (kind of), basketball, and family tingz.
