The woods surrounded Theo's truck as they drove through the forest just outside of Beacon Hills. They were finally almost there.

It had been a long and treacherous 6 hour journey, and all Theo wanted was to be able to get Hope somewhere safely and stretch his legs.

-------------------------------------------

As they finally saw the end of the woods, their vision flipped and the both of them felt extremely dizzy. When Theo opened his eyes, he realised they were upside down. The car had been flipped.

Theo knew that this didn't just happen. Nothing like this ever 'just happens' in Beacon Hills. Someone had flipped them over, and they had done it on purpose.

--------------------------------------------------

"Hope? Hope, wake up, my littlest wolf." In response, Hope groaned and slowly opened her eyes, touching the dried blood on her forehead tenderly.

"Hey, look at me, okay?" The chimera said as he heard the young girl whimper, scared. He used his thumb to lift her chin gently, both of them looking at each other intensely.

"Stay in the car. I don't care if something happens to me, you stay in the car until everyone is gone-" Theo had to cut himself off, his hearing focussing on a huge amount of footsteps coming toward them at a rapid pace. He lowered his voice to a whisper and continued.

"I'm going to leave my phone in my seat. If I don't come back, you take it and you ring 'Liam Dunbar', okay?" Hope nodded, her eyes watering as if she knew that Theo wouldn't come back.

"You tell them everything that happened when you see them, okay? You can trust them, I promise." Hope nodded again, blinking as if she was willing the tears to go away so that she could stay strong.

Theo could hear the steps. By now they were only metres away and Theo could hear the sound of guns cocking. He didn't have time to see if Hope had heard them too.

"Stay low and don't make a sound until everyone is gone, you got it?"

"I got it, T."

Theo took a deep breath in and sighed, pushing some of Hope's blonde hair behind her ear carefully.

"Remember that I love you, my littlest wolf."

"I-I... I love you too, Dad."

Theo smiled at Hope one last time, a sad look in his eyes. And then, he opened the door and got out, slamming it behind him.

Hope couldn't bare to watch what was about to happen, and so she shrunk into the corner of the flipped car and steadied her breathing as much as she could.

---------------------------------------------------

The first thing that could be heard from the woods was a mass amount of gunshots being fired. None of them managed to hit Theo, fortunately. The hunters had closed the forest off, surrounding the chimera and the young girl, who was currently hidden in the car.

Theo's eyes glowed as he growled, his fangs visible on his lips and his claws appearing on his hands.

He pounced on the nearest hunter, knocking the hunter's gun away from everyone and suffocating the boy.

Multiple shots were fired but all missed, and Theo realised that they were only amateurs. Monroe was probably bored again.

He sighed and growled again, threateningly. He ran to another boy, jumping onto his back and snapping his neck. A loud crack was heard and the other hunters were distracted for a second, before they randomly started shooting again.

----------------------------------------------

Around 10 minutes later, Theo's shirt and hands were covered in blood and only a few hunter's remained still standing.

"You want more? Come and get it!" He shouted, his voice low and rough. He stood his ground and no one fired. He felt satisfied. He nodded, taking steps back towards the car.

"Not so fast," A voice rung through the clearing he was now stood in and he whipped his head around, only to see the devil herself.

"I'm not quite finished with you yet," She said, and she shot her final bullet at Theo's stomach.

He had no time to react and was hit before he could move. His stomach seared in pain and he fell to the ground.

"Y-yellow wolfsbane? Really, M-Monroe? It can't k-kill me.." Theo whispered, spitting blood from his mouth as he began gathering all of his strength.

Monroe was both shocked and disappointed at Theo's words. She sighed and waved her hands, a couple of men quickly by her side and they picked Theo up, struggling under his weight.

With the last of his strength, Theo refused to look at the car as to not give anything away about Hope's location. No one even knew she was here.

"Hope!" He shouted, coughing almost immediately as they began to drag him away.

"Don't forget what I told you!"

The last thing he heard before he passed out was a distant shout;

"I won't, dad!"
